Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an opaque layer having an always uniform thickness and stable properties by depositing and molding a synthetic resin sheet of a specified thickness to cover the surface of the abutment of a denture construction model. CONSTITUTION:The opaque layer 3 is formed by densely covering the surface of the abutment tooth 2 with the acrylic resin sheet. A resin 4 consisting of a dentine material, enamel material, etc., is built up on the surface of the opaque layer 3. The molding of the opaque layer 3 is executed by adequately heating the acrylic resin sheet to soften, depositing and molding the sheet densely along the surface of the abutment tooth 2 and removing the lower excess sheet. The opaque operation for the abutment 2 is carried out extremely easily and rapidly; in addition, the opaque layer 3 having the uniform thickness and the stable properties is obtd.

Detailed Description of the Invention [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a novel opaque means for resin jacket crowns for dentures, and replaces the conventional opaque means by applying a paste-like opaque material to a synthetic resin jacket crown of a constant thickness. It is characterized in that the opaque effect can be easily obtained by heat-molding a resin sheet on the abutment tooth.

Opaque, which is indispensable in manufacturing resin jacket crowns for dentures (hereinafter simply referred to as "jacket crowns"), has until now been used as an abutment tooth of a plaster model (tooth mold to be restored).
A separating agent is applied to the surface of the opaque layer, and then a paste-like opaque material is applied and cured. In addition, the jacket crown is coated with cervical material, dentin material, enamel material, etc. to the desired color tone on the surface of the opaque layer. The common method was to apply a paste resin and build it up while curing it by heat or photopolymerization, and finish it into the desired shape of the denture.

Conventional methods for applying opaque are as follows: - It is difficult to obtain an opaque layer with a uniform thickness by multiple coatings, and in order to prevent color spots caused by this, and especially in the photopolymerization method, opaque materials are used due to limitations on curing depth. In order to ensure reliable hardening, the coating and curing process must be repeated two or three times, and this process requires a lot of effort and time.

In view of these circumstances, the present invention proposes that when producing a jacket crown, instead of applying the paste-like opaque material described above, a synthetic resin sheet of a certain thickness is heated and softened to tightly adhere to the surface of the abutment tooth of the plaster model. This method solves the technical problems of conventional opaque means by forming an opaque layer and then building up a resin layer on its surface in a conventional manner.

Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in more detail according to one embodiment. In FIG. 1, 1 is a plaster model, 2 is an abutment tooth, and 3 is a plaster model.
4 is an opaque layer formed by closely covering the surface of the abutment tooth 2 with an acrylic resin sheet, or 4 is a resin such as dentin material or enamel material built up on the surface of the opaque layer 3 by a conventional method. It is a layer.

Therefore, in forming the opaque layer 3, an acrylic resin sheet with a thickness of 0.2M and a diameter of about 4C11 is suitably heated to soften it, and this is closely adhered along the surface of the abutment tooth. After molding, the excess sheet at the bottom was removed.

Incidentally, the jacket crown is obtained by building up a desired resin material such as tooth and neck material, dentin material, enamel material, etc. on the surface of the opaque layer 3 according to a conventional method.

The opaque layer in the above embodiment was shown to be composed of an acrylic resin sheet with a thickness of 0.2 mm, but the sheet thickness by the opaque means of the present invention is usually 0.1 to 0.4 mm.
Although this range is appropriate and this does not preclude the use of thermoplastic synthetic resin sheets other than acrylic, it is preferable to select the material of the sheet as appropriate depending on the properties of the resin material to be applied.

Furthermore, it is optional to roughen the front or front and back surfaces of the opaque layer made of the synthetic resin sheet in advance to enhance the adhesion effect with the building-up resin and the tooth structure.

As described above, according to the opaque means in the jacket crown of the present invention, by simply applying a synthetic resin sheet of a certain thickness to the surface of the abutment tooth to be restored by heating and softening it, the thickness and physical properties are always uniform. A stable opaque layer is reliably molded, and the work is extremely simple and can be done in a short time, which is a remarkable effect. In addition, since the opaque layer is a synthetic resin sheet, it is possible to mold the abutment tooth without using a separating agent. The jacket crown can be easily removed from the plaster model without sticking to the surface, and since the opaque layer is finished with a uniform thickness, the color tone of the denture can be reproduced by the resin material built up on the surface. A variety of excellent effects can be expected, such as ease of use.
