[Prior Art] Conventionally, this type of facsimile machine ignores the incoming call signal from the line when facsimile reception is impossible, such as when the paper runs out or there is a paper jam around the paper output port. 。The conventional facsimile machine mentioned above ignores incoming calls when it becomes impossible to receive facsimile.
At that time, even if there was a call from the other party's facsimile machine, the call could not be received, and the operator at the receiving end could not know which party had sent the message. This caused major problems in communication regarding important work matters.

することができる利点がある.The facsimile apparatus of the present invention includes means for automatically receiving a call in response to a ringing signal from a line, means for storing an identification number of the other party's device detected from a facsimile procedure signal following the automatic call reception, and displaying the stored identification number in response to an operation instruction. It has a means for outputting. [Example] Next, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a system block diagram of one embodiment of the present invention. When a call is received from another facsimile terminal, etc. via line 1, communication control unit 2 controls network control 3 to detect a calling signal from line 1, and after receiving the call, communicates with the other party through facsimile procedures. Perform control. At this time, the extended ID or standard ID included in the procedure signal is extracted and sent to the communication ID storage section 4, and the communication ID storage section 4 stores the extended ID or standard ID. The recording unit 5 takes out the extended ID or standard ID stored in the communication rD storage unit 4 and records it on recording paper or the like. The system control unit 6 controls the entire system. By doing this, this system will remember the ID of the incoming communication party even if it is unable to receive a facsimile due to a problem such as running out of recording paper or a paper jam around the recording paper output port. If the above-mentioned failure is restored to normal by replenishing the recording paper or clearing the jammed paper, the ID of the communication partner is recorded by the recording section 5.
The above extended ID or standard ID usually has a telephone number, name of own office, etc. registered, so the facsimile operator can tell which party is making the call. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the present invention allows the ID of the incoming communication party to be memorized and recorded even when facsimile reception is impossible. It has the advantage of being able to check the information and contact the other party immediately.
