"Conventional technology and its issues" In the past, bird damage was mainly caused by direct damage to agricultural crops due to the feeding habits of birds, but it has also been caused by the destruction of the natural environment due to large-scale development during the so-called high economic growth period from the 1950s onwards. A noticeable change in the damage has started to be seen. In other words, the damage is diversifying, including damage caused by habitat loss, damage caused by an increase in the population of urbanized birds, induced damage caused by changes in agricultural and other forms of production, and damage caused by collisions with aircraft and damage related to transportation and communications. .

Models of birds of prey and other birds, such as balloons, used as tools to prevent bird damage.

Many proposals have been made, such as -38286, 1986-59471, 60-79973, etc., but the cost is too high to create one so precise that it can be mistaken for an actual bird of prey, so it can be easily created by omitting it. In this case, it would not be effective in scaring away the birds. On the other hand, a scarecrow with a picture of a bird of the Accipitrid family, that is, a bird of prey, on both sides of a flat plate was proposed in 1987-10472, but birds who saw such a picture of a bird of prey, that is, their natural enemy, were temporarily surprised by its appearance. They will run away in fear, but if they experience this a few times, they will become accustomed to it and will no longer run away, making it impossible to demonstrate the effect of preventing bird damage over a long period of time.

"Means for Solving the Problem" The above drawback is due to the lack of research on what kind of appearance of birds of prey, which is their natural enemy, gives fear to birds. As a result of research and experiments on the pictures of birds of prey that can be attached, it was found that what other animals see to identify them as birds of prey is the appearance of them in flight, and the picture that gives them the most fear is the black color of a bird of prey in flight. He discovered that it was a silhouette picture and came up with this idea. That is, the purpose of this proposal is to dynamically express the flight state of a bird of prey suspended in the air, thereby improving the effect of driving away natural enemies.

In order to achieve the above purpose, this project involves displaying a picture of a bird of prey in flight on the front side of a piece of transparent plastic, a black silhouette picture that corresponds to the picture on the back side, and outside the outline of these pictures. The device is constituted by a bird damage prevention device having a transparent portion, and a through hole for rotatably supporting the plastic piece at the edge of the transparent portion.

``Function'' Therefore, if the string 4 is inserted through the hole 3 and suspended, or the support shaft 9 is inserted through the hole 3 to rotatably support the transparent plastic piece 1, the plastic piece 1 will be moved by the wind. The picture 2 and the silhouette picture 6 of the flying bird of prey dynamically appear floating in the air through the transparent part 5, and the black silhouette picture 6 flickers and appears, causing the natural enemy bird to become frightened and run away.

In the bird damage prevention device of Example 5, a support shaft 9 is rotatably attached to a power transmission tower, the tip of a telephone pole, above a construction site, above a block wall, fence, iron fence, etc., and a transparent plate, that is, a bird of prey, is attached by the force of the wind. Make the pictures of the same type rotate. In addition to the case where a picture appears on both sides as described in Example 5, it is of course possible to implement a case where a picture appears on both sides according to Examples 1 to 4. Furthermore, in the fifth embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, if the transparent plates are made into a slightly asymmetrical shape, and the transparent plates 1a and 1b are made into a slightly open shape, they can be easily rotated by the wind, which increases the effect. .

The birds to be used in the picture can be selected from any suitable raptor, such as the Japanese hawk, black-spotted hawk, sparrowhawk, peregrine falcon, or hawk, but the sparrowhawk mentioned in the above example is a small hawk in the Accipitridae family. It can be used as a model for paintings by drawing it at the closest size to the real thing, and it is a rare species of raptor that primarily feeds on other birds, so it is difficult for other birds to just look at its appearance. It is most effective because it is fearful. When drawing, it is more effective to slightly exaggerate the characteristics of birds of prey, such as the line of sight, wing feathers, and beak.

``Effect of the invention'' Since the present invention is constructed as described above, the transparent plastic piece 1 can be rotatably supported in the air, and the bird of prey drawn on the piece 1 can move to express the flying state. Since the black silhouette 6 of the bird of prey can be seen by rotating the piece 1, natural enemies can be surprised and chased away.
