Spun yarn, multifilament yarn, and monofilament tape yarn are used as pile yarns for tufted products. Piles made of spun yarn and multifilament yarn are bulky and soft to the touch, making them suitable for tufted products used indoors, such as carpets and simple rugs. On the other hand, the pile made of monofilament tape yarn is not hygroscopic, is rigid, has excellent compressive elastic recovery strength and abrasion resistance, and has an appearance similar to the leaf blade of a lawn, so it is a tufted product that can be used outdoors for artificial lawns, etc. suitable for

This is because monofilament tape yarn is made by cutting plastic film into a width of 2 to 5 mm, and is not hygroscopic and is rigid and rough, making it feel stinging on the skin, making it cold in the winter and sticky in the summer. On the other hand, spun yarns and multifilament yarns do not have the appearance of grass blades and have been used for indoor carpets since ancient times, so if used outdoors they would give a strange and out-of-place appearance.

In addition, if pigment printing is applied to the pile surface of spun yarn or multifilament yarn, the bulky, soft and open fibers will be bonded together by the paint binder, resulting in a poor pile. If dye printing is done, the pile is bulky and has good water retention, so a large amount of dye solution is required, and color development and drying are slow.
Dyes have poor color fastness compared to pigments. On the other hand, monofilament tape yarns have a single filament fineness that is too thick compared to spun yarns and multifilament yarns, making them unsuitable for dye printing and forming a plastic film with a smooth surface, which makes the paint film easy to peel off.

For this reason, there are no pigment-printed indoor carpets made of spun or multifilament yarns, and no artificial lawns made of monofilament tape yarns are printed with either dyes or pigments.

As mentioned above, monofilament tape threads do not have moisture absorption properties, so adhesives do not adhere well to them.
Therefore, the backing finish (backing process) for bonding the base fabric and the pile requires an expensive adhesive with exceptional adhesive strength.

The nonwoven fabric 11 includes a nonwoven fabric made by adhering the fibers using an ordinary adhesive solution, a nonwoven fabric made by entangling the fibers by needle punching, and a nonwoven fabric mixed with hot melt (thermal fusion) fibers or resin and set by pressure heat. Any of these nonwoven fabrics in which the fibers are bonded together can be used, but preferably a needle punching type nonwoven fabric or a hot melt type nonwoven fabric, and more preferably a hot melt type nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 5 to 300 g/m 2 . Considering the way the fibers are intertwined,
It is desirable to use a nonwoven fabric in which most of the fibers are arranged in a somewhat random manner in the longitudinal direction, and for this purpose, the fiber web sent out from the spinning card is needle-punched as it is, with the fibers aligned in the longitudinal direction. Alternatively, a nonwoven fabric may be produced by applying hot-melt fibers or resin to a fiber web sent out from a spinning card or a web of filament fibers that has been spun and passed through a drawing process, and then pressurized and set the fibers as they are.

However, when using the conventional needle-punching nonwoven fabric manufacturing method, in which fiber wraps from the latches of a spun card are arranged side by side and overlapped in the width direction transverse to the feeding direction of the fiber web, needle punching is performed on the fiber web. It is also possible to use a nonwoven fabric with a horizontal striped pattern, which is made by sending out fiber wraps of different colors from the lattice of a spinning card, stacking them side by side so as to form horizontal stripes, and then needle-punching the fiber wraps as they are.

Both pigments (paints, paints, inks) and dyes (requiring a heating coloring process) can be used for textile printing or plain dyeing, but it is best to use printing inks (pigments) that do not require a heating coloring process. This can be said to be an appropriate method in accordance with the purpose of the invention.

Printing or plain dyeing may be carried out after cutting into tape shapes, but prior to cutting, the entire surface of the nonwoven fabric is dyed.
The printed or plain dyed nonwoven fabric 11 is passed through a slitter 24 to be cut into a tape shape, drawn out through a yarn guide 25 of a tufting machine to a needle 18, and then tufted onto a base fabric 20 as it is.

In that case, the cutting width of the tape nonwoven fabric yarn 12 is made several times wider than the tuft gauge (distance and spacing between needles or test rows), or several tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarns 12 are combined into one pile. To make yarn 19, several pieces of nonwoven fabrics 11, 21, 31, . ... are preferably cut simultaneously, and a large number of tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarns 12 thus produced are passed through a yarn guide 25 and divided into a number corresponding to the number of needles 18.

(1) According to the present invention, since the pile 22 is made of tape-like nonwoven fabric threads 12, it has the appearance of grass blades similar to the conventional artificial grass made of plastic monofilament tape threads, Unlike yarn, it is a non-woven fabric, so it is soft to the touch and hygroscopic, so it can be used indoors, as carpets, as artificial lawns, etc. A new tufted product that looks and feels natural 13 is obtained.

(2) And tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarn 1 according to the present invention
2 is in the form of a tape, so it is not much different in appearance from the plastic monofilament tape yarn used in conventional artificial grass piles, and it also has hygroscopicity and texture compared to the spun yarns and multifilament yarns used in conventional indoor carpet piles. Therefore, by partially using these conventional pile yarns, we can create a new artificial lawn that has a soft texture similar to indoor carpet, and a new artificial lawn that partially has an artificial grass-like texture. A new interior carpet with a new appearance can be obtained.

(3) Although spun yarn and multifilament yarn are bulky and open, the fibers are separated one by one and lack elasticity. In this respect, in the tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarn according to the present invention, the fibers are joined together to form a network structure, and thus a tufted product with excellent cushioning properties can be obtained.

(4) The monofilament yarn of artificial grass, which is a plastic film, is not hygroscopic and has little anchoring effect with adhesives, and its backing process requires expensive backing agents with strong adhesive strength. In this respect, since the tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarn 12 according to the present invention is porous with a network structure between the fibers, the anchoring effect of the adhesive is extremely good, and there is no need for expensive backing agents, resulting in lower processing costs. tuffed products with high pile removal strength and excellent abrasion resistance can be obtained at low cost.

(5) If a paint containing a binder is applied to spun yarn or multifilament yarn, it will become thin and poor with no covering properties, and the paint film on plastic monofilament tape yarn will easily peel off. It has been difficult to dye or print yarn with a paint containing a binder.
In this respect, in the tape-shaped nonwoven fabric yarn according to the present invention, the paint is applied to an ultra-thin nonwoven fabric with a basis weight of about 30 g/m 2 and then printed or plain dyed, so the coating film is thin and the anchoring effect of the coating film is reduced. When the tape-shaped nonwoven fabric thread 12 passes through the needle 18, it is compressed in the width direction to create wrinkles and tufted, but after that, the fibers become elastic due to the network structure, which is unique to nonwoven fabrics. Because the repellent force acts and spreads in the width direction, coverage is not impaired.
On the contrary, the elasticity of the nonwoven fabric is enhanced by the coating film of the rubber-elastic paint.
