(e) Function The drain water generated by the operation of the air conditioner is received by the first water receiving part of the drain container, and then pumped up and discharged by the drain pump (drainage tool) or drained by the drain hose (drainage tool). Since the drain water is directly discharged, normally the drain water does not flow into the second water receiving part of the drain container, and the detector in this second water receiving part is not immersed in the drain water. However, if the drain pump malfunctions or the drain piping becomes clogged with dust, the drain water becomes
When the drain water is no longer discharged from the water receiving part, the water level in the first water receiving part rises, overflows the partition wall, and flows into the second water receiving part. As the water level of the drain water flowing into the second water receiving section rises, the float rises and the detector is activated to notify of a malfunction of the drain pump or a blockage of the drain pipe. Then, the operation of the compressor, etc. is stopped to prevent drain water from overflowing from the drain container.

(f) Example The drawing shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the proposed device.
2 is an indoor heat exchanger that constitutes the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioner together with the compressor, condenser, etc. and functions as an evaporator during cooling operation, and 2 is a styrofoam-made heat exchanger that receives drain water generated in this heat exchanger 1 during cooling operation. The drain container 3 is a cylindrical partition wall integrally formed at the bottom of the drain container, and the partition wall 3' divides the inside of the drain container 2 into a first water receiving part 2a and a second water receiving part. It is divided into 2b and 2b. Further, the height of this partition wall 3 is lower than that of the peripheral wall 4 of the drain container 2.

Reference numeral 5 denotes a detector for detecting drain water, which is provided in a cylindrical case 6 having a cylindrical shape with a bottom. This cylindrical case 6
is for forming the above-mentioned second water receiving section. This detector 5 is connected to a reed switch (7).
It is composed of a guide rod 8 in which a magnet 9 is embedded, and a donut-shaped float 10 in which a magnet 9 is embedded.
When the float 10 moves upward along the guide rod 8 from the position shown by the solid line to the position shown by the dashed-dotted line and the magnet 9 faces the reed switch 7, the reed switch 7 is turned on. 11 is a lead wire connected to the reed switch 7; 12 is a support for fixing the guide rod 8 to the cylindrical case 6; 13 is a locking device for preventing the float 10 from falling off the guide rod 8; 14 is the cylindrical case 6. This is a fixture that fixes the cylindrical case 6 by fitting it into the partition wall 3 from below and bringing it into contact with the protrusion 15 of the partition wall 3, and then fixing it to the sheet metal base plate 16 of the drain container 2 with screws 17.

Reference numeral 18 is a donut-shaped aluminum plate with an arcuate cross section, and after applying a hydrophilic film 19 (coating by immersing it in a solution containing an organic polymer and sodium silicate) to the outer surface, it is coated on the partition wall 3. Further, 20 is a drain pump (drainage device) that scoops up drain water accumulated in the drain container 2 and discharges it outdoors from the drain hose 21, and is provided in the first water receiving part 2a of the drain container 2. .

The present device is constructed as described above, and when the drain pump 20 is operating normally during the cooling operation of the air conditioner, the drain water in the first water receiving part 2a of the drain container 2 is supplied to the drain pump 20. It is scooped up and discharged outdoors. Therefore, the first water receiving part 2a
The water level of the drain water inside will not become higher than the height of the partition wall 3 and the drain water will not flow into the second water receiving part 2b, and the guide rod 8 and float 10 are not immersed in the drain water.

However, if the drain pump 20 malfunctions due to adhesion of water scale or dust, the water level of the drain water in the first water receiving part 2a increases and exceeds the height of the partition wall 3, causing it to overflow from the first water receiving part 2a. The water flows into the second water receiving portion 2b. As the level of the drain water that has flowed in rises, the float 10 moves upward along the guide rod 8 from the position shown by the solid line to the position shown by the dashed-dotted line.
faces the reed switch 7, the reed switch 7 is turned on, and the failure of the drain pump 20 is notified. At the same time, the operation of the compressor is stopped and heat exchanger 1
By stopping the evaporation action of the refrigerant, the generation of drain water is eliminated, and drain water is prevented from overflowing from the peripheral side wall 4 of the drain container 2.

Moreover, in such a state, the upper edge of the partition wall 3 is treated to be hydrophilic and surface tension is less likely to occur, so that the water level of the drain water accumulated in the drain container 2 is the same as that of the upper edge of the partition wall 3. Therefore, when the fixture 14 is removed and the cylindrical case 6 is pulled out downward, there is no risk of drain water spilling into the partition wall 3 and wetting the indoor floor. The drain water in the cylindrical case 6 is then drained and the guide rod 8
The work is completed by wiping off the drain water adhering to the float 10, fitting it into the partition wall 3 again and attaching it, and repairing and inspecting the drain pump 20 at the same time.

In the above embodiment, the partition wall 3 is lower than the circumferential wall 4 of the drain container 2, but instead of lowering the partition wall 3, a through hole for overflow lower than the circumferential wall 4 is provided in the partition wall 3. Hydrophilic treatment may be applied to the surrounding area. Furthermore, the present device can also be applied to a structure in which the drain pipe 22 is connected to the drain container 2 and is directly discharged outdoors as shown by the dashed line without using the drain pump 20. Overflow from the drain container 2 is prevented.

(g) Effects of the invention According to the device of this invention, since the detector is not normally immersed in water, there is no possibility of limescale etc. adhering to the float and causing it to stick to the guide rod, which can prevent the drain pump from malfunctioning. When an abnormality occurs in the drain water treatment function due to a clogged drain pipe, etc., the detector works normally and can reliably detect the drain water, preventing an abnormality alarm from occurring and drain water from overflowing from the drain container. can be achieved.
