Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any excess force from being given to a brush part of a destaticizing brush by abutting the destaticizing brush to a recording medium and separating the destaticizing brush from the recording medium when the recording medium is carried in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:When recording and developing against an electrostatic recording paper 1, a cam 13 is stopped, and the destaticizing brush 7 is abutted to the electrostatic paper 1 and its back surface is grounded. When developing of a first color is finished, the electrostatic recording paper 1 is carried in the opposite direction, a motor 15 is driven, and the cam 13 is rotated in the direction of an arrow D. Because a destaticizing brush arm 9 is in contact with the cam 13 through a cam follower 12, it is rotated in the direction of arrow C around the center of a destaticizing brush shaft 8. With this rotation, the destaticizing brush 7 is lifted up in the upper direction, and the electrostatic recording paper 1 and the destaticizing brush 7 are separated. Thus, since the force of carrying in the opposite direction of the electrostatic recording paper 1 is not exerted on the brush part, the brush part is not deranged.

Prior to the start of recording, the operator pulls the electrostatic recording paper 1 from the supply roll and moves it to the conveying roller 2 a as shown in the figure.
+ 2 b, then fix its tip to the winding shaft 6 with adhesive tape or the like and wind it. This operation is performed manually. Next, one of the four color developing devices, for example, the black developing device 5a, is placed in the developing position, and the electrostatic recording paper 1 is conveyed in the forward direction shown by arrow A by the conveying rollers 2a and 2b. An electrostatic latent image is formed by the recording head 3 and developed by the developing device 5a, thereby recording a blank image. At this time, the winding shaft 6 is driven by a drive means (not shown) such as a torque motor that controls the tension to be constant, and the button is pressed to wind up the electrostatic recording paper 1 with a constant tension. When the recording of the black image is completed, the black developing device 5a is moved away from the developing position, the conveyance rollers 2a + 2b are reversed, and the electrostatic recording paper 1 is conveyed in the direction shown by arrow B, and wound onto the supply roll. Return to the starting position.

Next, the cyan developing device 5b is placed in the developing position, and the previous cyan image is recorded over the black image in the same manner as the previous time. At this time, the superposition (alignment) of the black image and the 777 image is performed by a superposition control device (not shown).

By sequentially performing the above operations on the four color developing devices, a four-color composite color image is formed and wound onto the winding shaft. As described above, one recording operation is completed. During this recording operation, the static eliminating brush 7 grounds the back surface of the electrostatic recording paper, and forms a latent image on the electrostatic recording paper during recording.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, as described above, the static eliminator brush, which is configured to constantly contact and ground the reciprocating electrostatic recording paper, has a problem in that the brush part of the static eliminator brush gets disturbed within a short period of time during use. There was a problem in that the back surface of the recording paper could not be reliably grounded, making it impossible to obtain clear color images.

The above problem arises for the following reasons. In other words, after the development of each color is completed, the electrostatic recording paper is pulled back in the opposite direction to the conveyance direction during recording, and as the electrostatic recording paper is pulled back in the opposite direction, the flange portion of the static elimination blank receives this force. This is because it is pulled in the opposite direction. This will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. FIG. 5(a) shows a state in which the recording paper is being conveyed in the forward direction, and as is clear from this figure, the flange portion is pulled in the recording paper conveyance direction. FIG. 5(b) shows a state in which the recording paper is being conveyed in the opposite direction, and the brush portion is being pulled in the opposite direction to that in FIG. 5(a). In this way, when the electrostatic recording paper runs in the forward and reverse directions, the brush portions of the static elimination brush are pulled in opposite directions, and this action is repeated, causing the brush portion of the static elimination brush to become disordered and cause premature This caused problems such as wear and tear, resulting in poor grounding.

A static elimination bluff has conventionally been used in recording devices, copying machines, etc. to remove electrical charges from recorded recording paper (for example, JP-A No. 57-20727).
(See Publication No. 2). However, this type of static elimination plane is installed either in a non-contact manner with the recording paper or in constant contact with it, and the non-contact type is used for grounding as in the electrostatic color recording device mentioned above. It cannot be used as a static eliminator brush for static electricity removal brushes, and the same problem as above will occur even if the case-contact type is used as a grounding static eliminator brush for electrostatic color recording devices, so it cannot be used to solve the above problems. do not have.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and the brush part of the static elimination brush is pulled in both forward and reverse directions in a type of recording device in which a recording medium such as electrostatic recording paper moves back and forth. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a recording device that is capable of obtaining clear color image recording by always receiving force in one direction only, thereby preventing the plano portion from sagging and ensuring good grounding. .

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides contact/separation means for moving the static elimination brush between a position in contact with the recording medium and a position away from the recording medium, so that the recording medium performs recording. Therefore, when the recording medium is being conveyed in the forward direction, the static eliminating brush is always brought into contact with the recording medium, but when the recording medium is being conveyed in the reverse direction, the static eliminating brush is moved away from the recording medium.

According to the present invention, with the above-described configuration, the brush portion of the static elimination brush only comes into contact with the recording medium traveling in one direction, and therefore only receives force in one direction, so that the brush portion is not disturbed and can reliably touch the recording medium. It can be grounded and stable color images can be obtained.

The operation of the recording apparatus having the above configuration will be explained. The electrostatic recording paper 1 is transported in the forward direction (direction of arrow A in FIG. 1) without being separated, and the cam 13 is moved to the position shown in FIG. 3(a) where recording and development are performed on the electrostatic recording paper 1. When stopped in the state shown, the static elimination brush 7 is in contact with the electrostatic recording paper 1, and its back surface is grounded. In this state, the electrostatic recording paper I is conveyed, and predetermined recording and development of the -th color are performed.

When the development of the -th color is completed, the electrostatic recording paper 1 is transferred to the third nQ
l(b>). At this time, the counter motor 15 is immediately driven to rotate the cam 13 in the direction indicated by the arrow. The neutralizing brush arm 9 contacts the cam 13 via the cam follower 12. As a result, the static eliminating brush shaft 8 rotates in the direction of arrow C around the top and bottom of the static eliminating brush shaft 8. Due to this rotation, the static eliminating brush 7 is lifted upward, and the static eliminating brush 7 is separated from the static recording paper 1. Therefore, since the brush portion is not subjected to the force exerted by the conveyance of the electrostatic recording paper 1 in the opposite direction, the brush portion is not disturbed.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above description, the present invention provides a contact/separation means for moving the static elimination brush between a position where it contacts the recording medium and a position away from the recording medium, so that the recording medium is transported in the forward direction. When grounding is required, the static elimination brush can be brought into contact with the recording medium, and when the recording medium is transported in the opposite direction, the static elimination brush can be separated from the recording medium. No extra force is applied, and
This has the effect that a stable color image can always be obtained without any disturbance.
