In conventional electronic watches, when the battery and the LCD panel overlap horizontally, it is necessary to increase the gap between the battery and the LCD panel to prevent the battery from hitting the LCD panel due to impact force and breaking the LCD panel. It was necessary to shape the negative terminal of the battery to resemble a hammock. In the former case, there will be a serious disadvantage of increasing the thickness of the watch, and in the latter case, the shape of the battery negative terminal will be complicated, which will not only increase costs, but also make it difficult to find a suitable hammock shape. There are restrictions on the layout of batteries, panel frames, etc., and this may lead to the production of electronic watches that are not preferred by consumers.

In addition, if the battery is not stacked flat with the LCD panel, the LCD panel will not break due to impact force, but it will not be possible to place the display part of the LCD panel in the center of the watch body. Therefore, the content displayed on the LCD panel has to be reduced, and the characters and numbers have become smaller and difficult to read.

In FIGS. 3 and 4, the battery 6 is arranged so as to overlap the liquid crystal panel 2 in plan view, and the cathode can of the battery 6 is held by the battery negative terminal 3. Here, battery negative terminal 3 is connected to panel frame 1
and is held in the can of the circuit board 4. Furthermore, the battery negative terminal 3 and the liquid crystal panel 2 are located in a position where they overlap in a plane. The gap between the battery negative terminal 3 and the anode can crimp portion of the battery 6 at the time of impact needs to be sufficiently wide to prevent shock. This kind of conventional battery support structure was developed in U.S. Pat.
This is disclosed in Publication No. 20683, etc.

In addition, a structure in which a battery receiving spring is used instead of the battery negative terminal and the battery anode can is held by the battery pressing spring is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 58-165972 and Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-
This is disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 24582, but there are problems in that the number of parts increases, the shape of the parts becomes complicated, and it is difficult to securely hold the battery.

Therefore, the purpose of this invention is to solve these conventional problems by creating a small, thin electronic watch that securely holds a battery with fewer parts, and that prevents the liquid crystal panel from cracking.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a plan view (perspective view) of the present invention. Figures 1 and 2
In the figure, the outer part of a liquid crystal panel 2 is assembled into a thin step part of a panel frame 1. Then, the battery negative terminal 3 is assembled on the base of the panel frame 2. here,
The battery negative terminal 3 is located at a position that does not overlap the liquid crystal panel 2 in a plane. Next, the circuit board 4 is assembled on the top surface of the panel frame 2. Next, the circuit holding plate 5 is assembled on the circuit board 4. Here, the circuit board 4 and the circuit holding plate 5 are shaped so that the battery 6 is exposed. The circuit holding plate 5 is formed with an elastic support portion 5a that passes through the cutout portion 4a of the circuit board 4. This elastic support portion 5a has a bent shape so as to support the anode can crimp portion of the battery 6 from below.

A portion of the anode can crimp portion of the battery 6 is supported by the panel frame 1 in a portion where the liquid crystal panel 2 is not provided. The cathode can of the battery 6 contacts the battery negative terminal 3. Then, another part of the anode can crimp portion of the battery 6 is supported by the elastic support portion 5a of the circuit holding plate 5.

As explained above, this idea supports the anode can crimp part of the battery with the elastic support part provided on the circuit holding plate, thereby securely holding the battery with a small number of components and preventing the liquid crystal panel from cracking in the event of an impact. It can be prevented. Furthermore, the battery is supported by the battery's anode can crimp, which is thinner than the battery's cathode can, and because the battery's negative terminal and the liquid crystal panel are located in a position where they do not overlap on a plane, watches can be made thinner and smaller. It has the effect of being able to
