【実  施  例】 以下、本発明の望ましい実施例を添付図面に基づいて詳
細に説明する。 第1図は本発明の実施例を示すもので、図中1はエンド
キャップAか装着される手摺笠木であり、アルミニウム
材等に押出加工を施して形成された金白6に半硬質また
は軟質の合成樹脂材からなる被覆材7を被覆して形成さ
れている。 なお、第1図において8は被覆材7の縮みを防止するた
めに、金白6の天井面9に固着される縮み止め部材、1

るパツキンを示すものである。 上記手摺笠木1の端部に固定されるエンドキャップAは
、中央部において略直角に屈曲された中空状のエルボ状

ップ部材5とから形成され、エルボ状本体2の一端部中
央に突出された固定部11を金白6の挿通溝12に挿通
させた後、金白6の天井面9からビス13を螺入するこ
とにより手摺笠木1に固着されている。 この実施例におけるエンドキャップAの固定部11は、
第2図に示すように、エルボ状本体2から突設される中
空十字形状の保持筒14に断面十字形状の補強材15を
挿入して形成されており、金白6の挿通溝12に対して
キャップ部材5装着側の端部か90度ずつ回転した任意
の位置に固定することができるようにされている。 さらに、上記エルボ状本体2のキャップ部材5装着側の
端縁全周には、後述するキャップ部材5の嵌合突条16
が嵌合する嵌合溝17か形成されるとともに、中空部1

突部4を突出して形成されており、該係止突部部4をエ
ルボ状本体2の保持部19に挿入させるとともに、該係
止突部4の先端に形成された係止フック26をヒスホー
ル21に螺入したヒスの頭部24裏面に係止させること
により、該エルボ状本体2端部に固定することかでさる
ようにされている。 したかってこの実施例ばよれば、主体部25の厚さの異
なる数種類のキャップ部材5を予め用意しておき、これ
らの内の一つを選択使用することにより、第1図に示す
ように、所望の屈曲部長さを有する工〉ドキャップAが
形成される。
