Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the checking of changes in blood pressure and the discriminating of factors of the change in blood pressure by measuring a temperature of a measuring part and that of outside air simultaneously with the measurement of a blood pressure to store respective measured values thereof. CONSTITUTION:A blood pressure measuring trigger signal is outputted from a clock 4 and a blood pressure measuring section 2 pressurizes a pressure cuff and bag 1 to start a measurement of a blood pressure value by gauging a cuff and bag pressure in process of reducing a cuff and bag pressure. At the same time, the clock 4 outputs a temperature measuring trigger signal. In operation, a temperature measuring section 3 introduces a temperature of a measuring part and that of outside air by respective temperature signals from a temperature sensor 31 at the measuring section and an outside air temperature measuring temperature sensor 32. The temperature of the measuring part, that of outside air and the blood pressure value are stored into a measured value memory section 5 together with measuring time. A specified time of a measurement processing ends and when the measured value memory section 5 alone is mounted on a computer, measured values stored in the measured value memory section 5, namely, three measured values.blood pressure value, the temperature of the measuring part and that of outside air.are displayed on a display device 6 in a time series being related to one another.

To use, wrap the cuff around your fingertips. A clock means drives the blood pressure measuring means, for example at 5 minute intervals. This pressurizes the air bladder of the cuff to ischemize the digital artery. After the pressure is increased above the systolic blood pressure value, the systolic blood pressure value and the diastolic blood pressure value are measured during the depressurization process. This blood pressure measurement value is stored in the storage means, and thereafter, similar blood pressure measurement processing is executed at 5 minute intervals. A person measuring blood pressure or a doctor displays a series of blood pressure measurement values stored over time on a display unit and confirms changes in blood pressure.

(C) Problems to be Solved by the Invention The above-mentioned conventional portable blood pressure monitor measures blood pressure continuously and repeatedly at regular intervals, and stores and displays each blood pressure measurement value. be. Therefore, the person measuring the blood pressure or the doctor can check only the change in the measured blood pressure by looking at the display, and whether the cause of the change in blood pressure is due to peripheral circulation disorder or vascular sclerosis. It is completely unknown whether there is one. Therefore, there are disadvantages such as the need to separately test factors that change blood pressure.

When the measurement timing arrives, blood pressure measurement is started in response to a trigger output, and at the same time, the temperature of the measurement site (peripheral site) and the outside air temperature are measured. The measured blood pressure values (systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure), the measured site temperature, and the outside air temperature are each stored in the measured value storage means along with the measurement time. This measurement process is continuously and repeatedly executed for a predetermined period of time at intervals of 5 minutes thereafter.

If the measurement process is performed multiple times for a predetermined period of time and the measurement is completed, if the blood pressure monitor body is attached to a computer in a hospital or the like with a measurement value storage means, the computer's display (display device) will display the following information: The measured blood pressure value, measurement site temperature, and outside air temperature are displayed together with the measurement time.

For example, if the displayed content of the measurement results shows that the temperature at the measurement site has decreased and the blood pressure has increased despite no change in the outside temperature, this change in blood pressure is not due to the influence of the outside temperature; It can be determined that this is caused by other internal factors (for example, blood circulation disorder due to stress). Furthermore, if the increase in blood pressure is small even though the temperature at the measurement site has decreased significantly, it can be determined that the degree of stiffness of blood vessels in the peripheral site is high.

Thus, with this blood pressure measurement device, it is possible not only to check the state of change in blood pressure, but also to determine the cause of blood pressure change by comparing the measured blood pressure, the temperature at the measurement site, and the outside temperature.

In addition, as shown in Figure 6, when the temperature at the measurement site decreases and then rises again, if the blood pressure rises and falls in response to changes in the temperature at the measurement site, the blood pressure at the peripheral site increases. There is no hardening of the blood vessels and they can be determined to be normal.

On the other hand, as shown in Figure 7, when there is almost no corresponding change in blood pressure in response to changes in temperature at the measurement site, such as decreases and increases (when the increase in blood pressure due to vasoconstriction due to the decrease in temperature at the measurement site is small) can be determined as having severe peripheral blood vessel stiffness.

In the above embodiment, a case was explained in which the blood pressure monitor attached to the person to be measured such as a patient and the display device 6 are separate bodies, but of course the measurement value storage unit may be fixed in the body of the blood pressure monitor. Needless to say, the display device can also be formed integrally with the main body case.

(F) Effects of the Invention As described above, in this invention, the temperature at the measurement site and the outside temperature are measured at the same time as blood pressure measurement, and each measurement value is stored, so it is possible to check the change in blood pressure. Of course, if these are displayed in a related manner, blood pressure change factors can be determined. Therefore, there is an excellent effect of achieving the purpose of the invention, such as there being no need to separately test the factors of blood pressure changes as in the past.
