Recently, facsimile machines with electronic telephone directories, etc., are equipped with a mounting section for removably attaching data memo cards such as electronic telephone directories with data input keys, and the attached data memo cards can be operated from the outside. Data input/output devices have been proposed. In such a proposal, the mounting part for mounting the card is a recess 2 corresponding to the size of the data memo card in the main body of the facsimile machine, as shown in FIG.
1, and a card is inserted into this recess 21 from above. Data communication is performed between the card installed in this way and the facsimile machine itself.
Information corresponding to key operations on the card is sent as optical information from a light emitting element on the back of the card to a light receiving element on the main body of the facsimile machine.

However, in the above-mentioned facsimile machine, the card is simply placed on the bottom of the recess 21 of the mounting section, so there is a risk that a gap may be created between the card and the bottom of the recess 21, and the card and the main body of the facsimile machine may There was a risk that correct data communication would not be possible between the two. This is because if there is a gap between the card and the facsimile machine, the light-emitting element on the back of the card and the light-receiving element on the main body of the facsimile machine will not be in the correct position. This is because the element may receive erroneous optical information.

The reason why there is a gap between the card and the bottom of the recess in the mounting section is that the card itself weighs only a few grams, so when the card is placed diagonally, the edge of the card and the recess 21 in the mounting section. This is because the side walls of the card are scratched and the card does not come into close contact with the bottom of the recess in the mounting section.

Furthermore, when the facsimile machine is nearly horizontal, placing the card correctly in the recess 21 of the mounting section allows the card to come into close contact with the bottom of the recess 21, but if the facsimile machine is tilted, the card's own weight alone cannot be used. It becomes difficult to bring the card and the bottom of the recess 21 into close contact.

One possible countermeasure for this is to make the card heavier, but since the card is used as an electronic telephone directory and is carried around in a wallet, etc., it is desirable that it be small and lightweight. It also becomes a factor in increasing costs. In this way, the adhesiveness between the card and the bottom of the recess 21 of the mounting section was guaranteed only by the card's own weight, so when setting the card as an electronic telephone directory into the main body of the facsimile machine, it was necessary to place it correctly. However, this requires a lot of care and the placement of the facsimile machine is limited to a near horizontal location, which impairs the degree of freedom in the placement of the facsimile machine.

The card 7 is small because it needs to be carried, and the input keys are arranged close to the periphery of the card surface. For this reason, the amount of protrusion of the opening peripheral portion 4a covering the surface of the card 7 is preferably as small as possible in terms of operation, and is set to the minimum in consideration of strength and manufacturing. Therefore, as described above, it is very preferable that the amount e of the spring-side peripheral edge 4a to prevent the spring from being pulled out is equal to the protrusion amount of one peripheral edge 4a.

Further, the protrusion of the peripheral edge 4a to prevent the card 7 from being removed is provided in the left and right direction of the main body of the device, but this is because when operating the card 7, the input key of the card must be viewed and operated from the front side of the device. This is because it is better to have at least a little margin in the front and rear directions of the device main body 1.
