Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a back-up member to be fixed at its position accurately by forming a hot melt adhesive layer in the back face of the back-up member, bringing the back-up member in contact with the inside of a joint so that it is fused so as to be bonded thereafter with its back face side heated. CONSTITUTION:A hot melt adhesive layer 4H is formed in the back face of a back-up member 4 with a specified width in such a way as to be uniform in thickness all over. The back-up member 4 is inserted into a joint 3 while the hot melt adhesive layer 4H is being faced inward. Successively, the hot melt adhesive layer 4H on the back face side is heated by striking a heater such as an iron 5 and the like into contact with the surface of the back-up member 4 until it is fused so as to be bonded. Therefore, joining can be positively processed.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention provides a backup material coated with hot melt adhesive that is inserted into joints and allowed to ripen and become fixed in a precise position. This concerns the installation method. [Conventional technology] Back-up material is attached before filling the joints with caulking material. The conventional backup material has an adhesive material formed on its back side, and this is applied to the 4th r! ! 1(A). (B)
As shown in the figure, it is inserted into the joint and pasted to the bottom of the joint. [Problem to be solved by the invention] An adhesive layer is integrally formed on the back side of the backup material, and when inserting the backup material into the bottom of the joint using a backup material having a width that matches the joint width, this adhesive layer Because it has a set adhesive strength at room temperature, it is not inserted into the joint bottom accurately, but when it comes into contact with the inner surface of the joint, it adheres there, resulting in the result shown in Figure 4 (B). Once adhered to the inner surface of the joint, the backup material will not be inserted accurately, and the backup material will be slanted, resulting in insufficient caulking within the joint. This is because the surface of the backup material inserted into the joint is uneven. This also impairs the appearance of the joint. Furthermore, it is time-consuming to peel off the backup material glued to the inner surface of the joint and re-insert it accurately into the joint bottom, and the backup material may be damaged. Since the width of the joint is relatively narrow, it is difficult to fit it accurately to the bottom of the joint, and in many cases, it is constructed using a shank that is glued to areas other than the bottom of the joint. The purpose of the present invention is to enable even an inexperienced person to accurately adhere backup material to the bottom of the joint, thereby ensuring a beautiful and reliable finish to the joint. [! ! [Means for solving the problem] After forming a hot melt adhesive layer on the back side of a backup material having the required width, placing this backup material inside the joint and accurately contacting the pre-adhesive cutting layer to the bottom of the joint. , the backup material is heated from the surface side to melt and bond the adhesive layer. [Function] A hot-melt adhesive layer is formed on the back of the backup material, so it does not have adhesive strength at room temperature, so the backup material can be inserted accurately into the bottom of the joint. After that, the backup material is heated with an iron or the like from the surface side to melt and bond the Hottu 1/melt adhesive layer, so the backup material will not adhere to anything other than the bottom of the joint and will fit accurately within the joint. You can create a beautiful finish on the joints. [Example] The method for attaching the backup material of the present invention will be described below based on the illustrated example.

In the embodiment shown in the figure, two outer wall panels 2, 2 are attached to the outside of the trunk l with their edges abutting each other, and a joint 3 of a required width is formed between the edges of the outer wall panels. Although the backup material 4 is attached to 3 by adhesive, it can also be used in other embodiments. This backup material 4 has a width determined roughly according to the joint width, and also has the required thickness and length.
Usually inorganic fiber foam, ceramic fiber. It is formed into a band made of non-combustible material such as rock wool. Then, a hot melt adhesive layer 4H is preferably formed on the back surface of this backup material 4 to have a substantially uniform thickness over the entire back surface. This is formed in a conventional manner. To attach the backup material 4 formed as described above to the joint 3, select one with a width that matches the joint width, and insert it into the bottom of the joint with the hot melt adhesive layer 4H on the inside. At this time, since no adhesive force acts on the adhesive layer, the backup material can be inserted accurately to the bottom of the joint without adhesion even if it comes into contact with areas other than the bottom of the joint, such as the inside surface of the joint on the edge of the exterior wall board. Next, after confirming that this backup material has been inserted accurately into the joint, a heater such as an ironing iron 5 is brought into contact with the surface of the backup material 4 to heat the hot melt adhesive layer 4H on the back side. At a specified temperature, this hot melt adhesive layer melts and adheres to the joint bottom. At this time, since the backup material is pressed with an ironing iron 5 or the like, the backup material is firmly adhered to the bottom of the joint. [Effects of the Invention] The method for attaching the backup material of the present invention involves forming a hot melt adhesive layer on the back surface of the backup material having a required width,
After this backup material is placed inside the joint and the pre-adhesive layer is brought into precise contact with the bottom of the joint, the backup material is heated from the surface side to melt the adhesive layer and bond. Since it fits accurately at the bottom of the joint and is firmly adhered, it has the advantage of improving workability and making it possible to easily and beautifully finish the joint.
