PURPOSE:To enable a single photosensor to detect in which part a sheet is introduced, front or rear by providing a constitution in which a sensor lever having two holes is rotated by a printing sheet which is transported and the rotation is detected by the photosensor. CONSTITUTION:If a printing sheet 1 is transported from the front, a sensor lever 3 having two holes rotates centered around a sensor shaft 2. A sheet presence detection part becomes located in the position of one of the holes 4 of the sensor lever 3, then the sensor lever 3 becomes separated from the photosensor 6 which now detects 'no sheet is present' and the photosensor detects 'sheet is present' from 'no sheet is present'. 様に取付けられていて、前記センサシャフトから等距離
にあけられている穴を2個有するセンサレバーが送行さ
れてきた印字用紙により前記センサシャフトを中心に回
転し、前記センサレバーを挟み込んでいて用紙送入前に
、前記センサレバーの1つの穴の位置に用紙有無検出部
が位置して“用紙なし”と検出しているフォトセンサか
ら前記センサレバーが離れ、′用紙なし”→“用紙あり
”と検出する。また印字用紙が後方から前記動力伝達手
段により送行されると前記センサレバーが前記フォトセ
ンサから離れる際に、前記の用紙送入前に用紙有無検出
部に位置している前記センサレバーの穴と別のもう一方
の穴の双方の穴が前記フォトセンサの用紙有無検出部を
連続して通過して“用紙なし”→“用紙あり”→“用紙
なし”→“用紙あり”と検出する。これにより上記の2
種類の検出方法により用紙が前方及び後方のどちらから
送入されるかを1つの前記フォトセンサで検出すること
ができることを特徴とする。

シャフトを中心に回転し、前記センサレバーを挟み込ん
でいて用紙送入前に、前記センサレバーの1つの穴の位
置に用紙有無検出部が位置して“用紙なし”と検出して
いるフォトセンサから前記センサレバーが離れ、“用紙
なし”“用紙あり”の順に検出し、また印字用紙が後方
から前記動力伝達手段により送行されると前記センサレ
バーが前記フォトセンサから離れる際に、前記の用紙送
入前に用紙有無検出部に位置している前記センサレバー
の穴と別のもう一方の穴の双方の穴が前記フォトセンサ
の用紙有無検出部を連続して通過して“用紙なし”“用
紙あり”“用紙なし”“用紙あり”の順に検出し、これ
により上記の2種類の検出方法により用紙が前方及び後
方のどちらから送入されるかを1つの前記フォトセンサ
で検出することができることを特徴とする用紙送入方向
