Abstract

PURPOSE:To retain satisfactory contact with an electric wire constantly by providing a projection for dividing the slidably contacting part and the crimping part of a connector. CONSTITUTION:A projection 9 is provided so as to divide a crimping part 2 for caulking an electric wire 1 and a slidably contacting part 4. After electric wire caulking work is made, solder 10 is dished up between the crimping part 2 and the projection 9 to fix the electric wire 1 to a plug. This eliminates the fluidal adherence of a flux or solder to the contact part 4 side to constantly retain satisfactory contact with the electric wire.

Conventional connector plugs are constructed as described above, so that when high heat is applied from the outside, the crimp portion 2 may loosen due to thermal expansion, and moisture or contaminants that enter along the wire 1 may become attached to the wire 1. There was a problem that it got between the crimp part 2 and increased electrical contact resistance.

In addition, in order to solve these problems, the electric wire l is connected to the plug 8.
When trying to solder the wire near the crimp part 2,
If soldering is performed in one part, flux may adhere to the sliding contact part 4, which may cause poor contact of the connector. Furthermore, if the solder flows and adheres to the sliding contact portion 4, it becomes impossible to insert the plug 8 into the connector body (not shown).
