(特開昭63−57516号公報)。Bathing has various health effects such as refreshing the mind and body, and various bath additives have been developed and put into practical use in order to further enhance these effects. Usually, these bath additives contain sodium carbonate to improve the above-mentioned effects and cleaning action. sodium sulfate,
Powders of inorganic salts of alkali metals such as sodium chloride and potassium chloride are added. In addition, dyes and organic pigments are used to improve color tone and especially to enhance psychological effects.
Bath additives containing pigments such as inorganic pigments are also known. However, there are a limited number of pigments that can actually be used, and some inorganic pigments in particular have little hydrophilicity and have poor dispersibility in bath water.
Many lack stability. Therefore, even if these inorganic pigments were added to bath water and stirred, if left for a while, they would settle and accumulate at the bottom of the bath, which was rather unpleasant, which was not desirable. In order to improve this problem, it has been proposed to use an Il-free pigment coated with a water-soluble polymeric substance such as soluble starch, carboxymethyl cellulose, or alginate (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 57516/1983).

Publication No. 714).

Furthermore, since the coating was thick, the particles of the inorganic pigment in the bath additive became large, which was not preferable.

した。[Means for solving ma] As a result of extensive research to solve the above problems, the present inventors have developed a dibasic acid monoester of a carbohydrate derivative, which has been conventionally used as a coating agent for enteric-coated preparations. If inorganic pigments are coated with polymeric substances that are reactive with alkalis, such as dibasic acid monoesters of polyvinyl compounds, etc., inorganic pigments that are insoluble or poorly soluble in water can be quickly added to bath water with a thinner coating than before. The present invention has been brought to fruition by discovering that the present invention can be dispersed in a variety of materials, and the stability is also improved.

Examples of such polymeric substances include those conventionally used as coating agents for enteric-coated preparations, and in the present invention, in particular, dibasic acid monoesters of carbohydrate derivatives and dibasic acid monoesters of polyvinyl compounds are used. etc. is preferable. Examples of dibasic acids forming ester bonds in the above-mentioned polymeric substances include phthalic acid and succinic acid. Examples include maleic acid. One of the two carboxyl groups of these dibasic acids is bonded to the carbohydrate derivative or polyvinyl compound through an ester bond, and the other carboxyl group is in a free form. This free carboxyl group can react with an alkali to obtain solubility in water.

い。When the bath agent of the present invention thus obtained is put into bath water, the alkali in the additive reacts with the polymeric material coated with the Il-free pigment to form a water-soluble salt and dissolve. , the surface of the inorganic pigment particles becomes hydrophilic,
Inorganic pigments that are insoluble or sparingly soluble in water are quickly dispersed and stabilized in bath water, making it possible to color bath water with the unique color tone of inorganic pigments. Further, when a non-polar to slightly polar organic solvent such as acetone is used in the production of the m-free pigment coated with the above-mentioned polymeric substance, the alkali will not dissociate and OH- ions will not be generated. Therefore, at this stage, taking advantage of the fact that it does not react with the polymeric substance, inorganic pigments are added to the polymeric substance dissolved in the solvent, and at the same time some of the alkalis such as inorganic salts to be added to the bath additive ( Polymer substance 100
By adding 5 to 25 parts by weight), an alkali-containing inorganic pigment coated with a polymeric substance can be obtained. Even if bath additives containing inorganic pigments coated with polymeric substances containing alkali become acidic when added to bath water, the polymeric substances react with the alkali first, so the inorganic pigments are quickly removed. It can be dispersed. [Example] The present invention will be explained in detail below using Examples and Test Examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

In addition, bath water was used in the same manner as in the above Examples, and these were used as Comparative Examples 1 to 5. However, a slight adjustment was made by adjusting the amount of dry sodium sulfate, which was one of the proportions, so that the content ratios of pigments in Examples and Comparative Examples were the same.

In addition, in Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Examples I to 5, after obtaining the bath additives, they were left at 40°C for 3 weeks, and then the transmittance at a light wavelength of 700 nm was similarly measured as bath water. The stability against storage was investigated. In addition, it is thought that leaving it at 40°C for 3 weeks is equivalent to storing it at room temperature for about 1 year.

It was found that the pigment had excellent dispersibility in bath water. In particular, 40″
The increase in transmittance after being left for 3 weeks in C, that is, the decrease in dispersibility due to long-term storage, is remarkable in the case of the untreated pigment, whereas the increase in the transmittance after being left for 3 weeks is noticeable in the case of the pigment containing the untreated pigment, whereas the increase in the transmittance after being left for 3 weeks in the case of the pigment containing the pigment coated with the polymeric substance of the present invention is remarkable. However, the bath additive of the present invention has excellent stability during long-term storage.

Dispersion speed of pigment into bath water is fast,
It also has excellent stability. In addition, since only a small amount of polymeric material is required for coating, the amount of other bath agents can be used without any restriction.
