Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily attain the duplex write processing by processing a 1st magnetic recorder with a write command and applying the write processing to a 2nd magnetic recorder with a copy command linked to the relevant write command. CONSTITUTION:A SCSI control channel 12 receives a write command to a magnetic disk device (I) from a main storage 11 of a host device 10. When the final bit of the write command is defined as a link graph and set at '1', the linkage of a copy command is shown. This copy command is issued to the device (I) and the write processing is carried out by an I/O controller 13. Then a copy command is issued to the device (I) when the write processing is ended. Thus the copy processing is carried out to the copy destination address designated by the copy command, i.e., to a magnetic disk device (II). Then the duplexing control of the write processing is ended with the end of the copy processing. Thus, the duplexing control is attained with high efficiency to the magnetic recorder.
