Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly record and read a large quantity of information by using plural light emitting elements to expose an optical recording tape to light correspondingly to plural information and using plural light receiving elements to read these recorded information. CONSTITUTION:Plural light emitting elements 7 which emit light controlled by an information signal to project the recording face of an optical recording tape 1 are arranged in the breadthwise direction of the optical recording tape 1. Plural light receiving elements 8 which receive the light which is projected from light emitting elements 7 and is reflected by the optical recording tape 1 are arranged to face respective light emitting elements 7. The optical recording tape 1 is exposed on plural parallel scanning lines by plural light emitting elements 7 to record information, and the reflected light from the optical recording tape 1 is received by plural light receiving elements 8 to read stored information. Thus, a large quantity of information is exactly and simultaneously recorded and read without being affected by electro-magnetic induction disturbance.

Conventionally, as a method for recording information such as electrical signals, methods have been proposed in which information is recorded on a record carrier by magnetic means or optical means. With magnetic means, information is recorded by magnetizing or demagnetizing the surface of a magnetic tape or magnetic disk, which is an information recording carrier, using an electrical waveform. Further, in the method using optical means, information is recorded in a circumferential manner by exposing a disc-shaped record carrier to light using optical means.

In the above-mentioned conventional information recording method, when magnetic means are used, the electrical waveform is susceptible to electromagnetic induction interference from the surroundings, which may result in inaccurate information recording, or due to the influence of adjacent magnetism. However, there is a problem in that it is difficult to retain recorded information for a long period of time.

In addition, in the case of optical means, since the information recording carrier has a disk shape, the diameter must inevitably be increased to record a large amount of information, and the information recording device to handle this must also be increased in size. There is a problem in that it cannot meet the demand for miniaturization of devices in recent years.

FIG. 1 is a perspective configuration diagram of an embodiment embodying the storage method of the present invention. In the figure, l denotes an optical recording tape as a record carrier, which is composed of a long unexposed photosensitive film. In this case, in order to facilitate handling of the optical recording tape 1, a material sensitive to light other than visible light, such as ultraviolet light, may be used. This optical recording tape 1 is wound around a feed reel 2 to a required length, and then wound between a take-up reel 3 and a take-up reel 3 rotated by a take-up motor 4. By rotating the take-up reel 3, the optical recording tape 1 is moved between the pair of guides 5 and 6.
It is moved in a substantially horizontal direction from the feed side reel 2 toward the take-up side reel 3 while being guided by.

A light emitting element 7 and a light receiving element 8 are provided between the guides 5.6.
are arranged adjacent to each other on the same side of the optical recording tape 1. The light emitting element 7 is composed of, for example, a light emitting diode, and the light receiving element 8 is composed of, for example, a phototransistor. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a front view and a plan view, respectively, a plurality of light-emitting elements 7 and light-receiving elements 8 are arranged in a straight line, and light is emitted from the light-emitting elements 7. The output signal light λout is projected onto the surface of the optical recording tape 1, and the light reflected here enters the opposing light receiving element 8 as a human input signal light λin. In this example,
The light emitting element 7 and the light receiving element 8 each have a configuration in which six elements are arranged, and the wavelengths λ1 to λ of the optical signal light forming many pairs are arranged.

According to this configuration, as the optical recording tape 1 is moved in the horizontal direction from the feed side reel 2 toward the take-up side reel 3, the light emitting element 7 emits light with a light intensity controlled by the information signal. The recording surface (photosensitive surface) la of the optical recording tape l is exposed with an exposure amount according to the control signal. At this time, each of the six light emitting elements is exposed to signal light λl to λ6 independently, so that recording is performed on the optical recording tape 1 using six parallel scanning lines. If a visible image is formed on the optical recording tape 1 by this exposure, recording is completed as it is. Further, when a latent image is formed, the recording is completed by performing post-processing such as development.

In addition, for the optical recording tape 1 on which recording has been completed, the optical recording tape 1 is similarly moved from the feed side reel 2 to the take-up side reel 3, and on the way, a light emitting element is placed on one side of the optical recording tape. 7 projects light with a constant light intensity. Then, when the output signal light λout as the reflected light is received by the light receiving element 8, the intensity of the output signal light is changed to the optical recording tape l.
The light receiving element 8
By obtaining an electrical signal corresponding to the intensity of the light received by the sensor, it is possible to read recorded information using an optical method.

As explained above, the present invention uses a plurality of light emitting elements to expose an optical recording tape corresponding to a plurality of pieces of information at the same time, and reads this recorded information using a plurality of light receiving elements. Because of this structure, compared to recording methods using magnetic means, it is possible to record accurately without being subjected to electromagnetic induction interference, and it is also possible to retain information for a long time. Furthermore, even when recording by the same optical means, the record carrier itself can be made smaller and the recording device itself can be made more compact than when a disc is used.

Furthermore, by arranging a plurality of light-emitting elements and a plurality of light-receiving elements facing each other, optical information signals can be recorded on the optical recording tape and a plurality of information signals can be read simultaneously.
It becomes extremely easy to handle large amounts of information in a short time.
