【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 内燃機関の運転状態に応じて吸排気弁の少
なくとも一方のバルブタイミング及び/又はリフ
ト量を複数の特性の間で選択的に変更するバルブ
タイミング機構を備えると共に、ノツク検出手段
を通じて機関の所定の振動周波数帯域の出力レベ
ルを検出し、その出力レベルの大きさからノツク
の発生を検知して点火時期を遅角補正するノツク
制御手段を備えてなる内燃機関のノツク制御装置
において、前記可変バルブタイミング機構で選択
される動作特性に応じて前記ノツク検出手段の検
出周波数帯域を変更する様にしたことを特徴とす
る内燃機関のノツク制御装置。 (2) 前記ノツク検出手段は動作帯域において相
互に相違する複数個のフイルタ手段を備え、前記
検出周波数帯域の変更は、前記可変バルブタイミ
ング機構で選択される動作特性に応じて該複数個
のフイルタ手段の少なくとも1個を選択して行う
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関のノツ
ク制御装置。 (3) 前記ノツク検出手段は共振特性において相
互に相違する複数個の検出手段からなり、前記検
出周波数帯域の変更は、前記可変バルブタイミン
グ機構で選択される動作特性に応じて該複数個の
検出手段の少なくとも1個を選択して行うことを
