Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the using time of a line required for other than the transmission of picture information by recording the picture information of the portion of plural sheets divided by a control reset code (RTC) during one time of a picture information transmission phase (phase C). CONSTITUTION:A transmission line 1, an NCU 2, a MODEM 3, a microprocessor 4, a RAM 5, a decoder 6, a parallel/serial data conversion circuit 7, and a recording device 8 are provided. Then, a means to record encoded picture information received before the detected RTC as the picture information of one page of an original is provided. By repeating this means, the recording of the picture information of the portion of plural sheets divided by the RTC can be executed during one time of the phase C. Thus, the line using time can be shortened.

FIG. 3 is a communication sequence diagram of a binary control procedure of an example of a conventional facsimile receiver. After a phone call,
After the completion of the first message procedure in which facsimile communication is started, the transmission of image information for the first page is started, and when the transmission of one page is completed, the post-message procedure is started after the transmission of a return control code (RTC). Therefore, as shown in the figure, when a plurality of original documents (n sheets in the illustrated example) are received in one communication, a post message procedure of about 3 seconds occurs between each page.

As mentioned above, in conventional facsimile receivers,
When receiving multiple pages of originals in one communication, it takes approximately 3 seconds to exchange post messages between each page using a binary control procedure, and the line required in addition to transmitting image information is required. The disadvantage is that it takes a long time to use.

The facsimile receiver of the present invention has a predetermined 7 axis IJ
In a facsimile receiver that decodes received encoded image information based on a control procedure and records the decoded image information by a recording device, control is returned from the received image information in one phase C. means for detecting a code; and means for recording the image information received before the detected control return code as image information for one page of a manuscript;
By repeating this means, the image information for a plurality of sheets separated by the control return code is recorded during one phase C.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a communication sequence diagram of a transmission control procedure realized by this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 2, when facsimile communication is started after a telephone call, the transmission of encoded image information is started from the transmitting side after the completion of the message procedure. In FIG. 1, image information received from the transmission screen If is input to the modem 3 via the NCU 2. modem 3
After the tI adjustment, the microprocessor 4 temporarily stores the image information in the RAM 5. Furthermore, the microprocessor 4 sequentially reads out the image information stored in the RAM 5, detects the RTC from the image information, and transfers it to the decoder 6. Decoder 6
The encoded image information transferred to is sequentially decoded, and the decoded image information is transferred to the parallel-serial data conversion circuit 7.
After the data is converted into serial data, the data is recorded on recording paper by the recording device 8. When RTC is detected in the encoded image information, the microprocessor 4 transfers the image information remaining in the RAM 5 to the decoder 6 while identifying the signal to be received next from the transmission line l. When image information is received again from the transmission line 1, by repeating the above process, it is possible to record image information for a plurality of images during - phase C. After RTC, a binary signal (EOP in the example in Figure 2)
If the message is received, it is determined that phase C has ended, and the post message procedure is performed.

With the control described above, as shown in Figure 2, when the sending side transmits image information for multiple pages (n images in the example in Figure 2) in one phase C, with pages separated by RTC. , image information can be received in one phase C.

As explained above, the present invention has a means for recording coded image information received before the detected RTC as image information for one page of the original, and by repeating this means, during one phase C. It is possible to record image information for multiple images separated by RTC, which has the effect of shortening line usage time.
