Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable adjustment of a size of a through hole to eliminate need of a spacer by providing stepped parts for allowing the through hole of a lid of a breaker to be increased in size according to a terminal member, and forming a cut groove between adjacent stepped parts. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of stepped parts 171 for allowing a through hole 17a of a lid 17 of a breaker to be increased in size along the direction of plate thickness according to the thickness of a plate of a terminal member are provided on one side of the through hole 17a, and a cut groove 172 is formed between the adjacent stepped parts. A breaker with large rated current and with plate thickness of the terminal member corresponding to l2 is to be assembled, the stepped part 171a is cut from the cut groove 172 and the lid 17 with the size of the hole 17a increased to l2 is used. By further removing the stepped part 171 from the cut groove 172, the size along the plate thickness direction of the terminal member can be increased to l3. Thus the size of the through hole can be adjusted and a spacer is not necessary.

[Prior Art] Figures 4 to 6 show conventional circuit breakers. In the figure ([) is the casing, base (IA), cover (IB)
It consists of (2) is a cutoff part, and (3) is a power supply side terminal part. (4) is a terminal member with a fixed contact (
5), the other end of which is connected to an external conductor (not shown). The terminal member (4) has a plate thickness (cross-sectional area) that changes depending on the magnitude of the rated current. For this purpose, the base (IA) is provided with a hole (1a) through which the terminal member (4) having the maximum thickness can pass through. For example, when the rated current is small, a thin plate is used as the terminal member (4), so the base (IA)
There will be a gap between the two. (6) is an auxiliary metal fitting for attaching the terminal member (4) to the base (IA), and is designed to eliminate the above-mentioned gap. The auxiliary metal fitting (6) is attached to the terminal member (4) with a screw (7). The power supply side terminal section (3) consisting of the terminal member (4), fixed contact (5), auxiliary fitting (6), etc. is attached to the base (LA) with a thread 8).

The terminal member (12), the shunt (11) and the terminal member mounting member mounting bracket (13) are attached to the base (IA) with screws (15). (16) is attached to the terminal member (12) with a spacer, and the terminal member (12) is connected to the terminal member through hole (17a) of the lid (17), which will be described later.
) is designed to eliminate the gap. (18) is a contact pressure spring, and (19) is a CT inserted into the load-side terminal member (12), which detects the current flowing in the circuit and sends a signal to a tripping device (not shown) to interrupt the circuit. The lid (17) is made of an insulating material, and is attached to the base (IA) with screws (20) so that the CT (19) can be easily attached and detached from the outside and cannot be touched. The lid (17) has a through hole (17a) approximately in the center thereof, into which the load-side terminal member (12) is inserted. The through hole (17a) is large enough to allow the terminal member (12) with the maximum plate thickness to be inserted therethrough, similar to the hole (1a) for inserting the power supply side terminal member (4) provided in the base (IA). It is formed.
