In the past, the cause was thought to be unsuitable shoes (especially shoes with pointed tips). However, it is now believed that inappropriate shoes are a factor that increases the deformity and symptoms, but are not the primary cause. Predisposing factors include enlargement of the first metatarsal head, abnormalities of the first metatarsal joint, abnormalities of the abductor pollicis and adductor muscles, long first metatarsal bone, and laxity of ligaments. In any case, the first metatarsal is excessively inverted and everted at the metatarsophalangeal joint, and the big toe is in a strong torsion position with respect to the other four movements in addition to eversion, and there are few that appear to be in an opposing position. do not have. In cases where the deformity is significant, the medial side of the first metatarsal head becomes larger, and a bursa or callus is often formed in that area, making the protrusion even larger. This bony protrusion and bursa are collectively known as the panion.
Bunion) J. Pressure and friction in the same area due to shoes can cause bedsores and bursitis, and sometimes localized periosteal osteomyelitis in the same area.

Surgery is not performed on this condition except in special cases. In particular, surgery should be avoided for cases of bunion associated with congenital joint laxity or neuromuscular disease, as it is said to have a recurrence rate of 50% or more. Furthermore, for those who develop the disease before the age of 20, treatment should be conservative.

Therefore, we usually prescribe ``Fumazu support'' similar to those used for flat feet, and often use ``night braces'' and ``orthopedic shoes. The wearing of shoes with high heels should be prohibited and the use of shoes with a looser forefoot should be recommended.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As described above, although orthosis therapy for bunion is currently the mainstream, there are many problems and no effective therapy exists.

Needless to say, the foot is the only part of the body that comes into contact with the earth when standing up and walking, so the orthosis should not originally interfere with such movements. Additionally, unlike Westerners, Japanese people have many opportunities to change their footwear frequently in their daily lives, which poses many problems. In other words, in Europe and America, whether it is surgery or conservative treatment, it is enough to make shoes easier to wear, but in Japan, people spend a lot of time without shoes, and even when they are wearing geta or zori sandals, there is nothing they can do. There is a need for a treatment method that is suitable even when footwear is not worn.

When treating conservatively, the problem is how to coexist with a variety of footwear, but the average Japanese person today wears shoes outdoors and goes barefoot at home. However, it would be advantageous to have a brace that is compatible with both cases. However, this is practically impossible.

Conventionally, this problem has been dealt with by selectively using shoe orthotics, barefoot orthotics, and nighttime orthoses.

Of these, nighttime braces are the most effective in correcting bunion, but they use hard materials such as metal and are bulky, making it nearly impossible to walk. This orthosis is unsuitable for walking. Therefore, as the name suggests, they should be used only during sleep, and although they cannot usually be expected to have sufficient effects, they were used that would cause fewer problems when walking.

However, it is common practice for these walking orthotics, such as sole plates and orthopedic shoes that are inserted into shoes, to be manufactured individually for each patient depending on the patient's symptoms and size, and it takes time before they can actually be worn. This was time consuming and very expensive.

Therefore, the emergence of an orthosis that can be used at all times, is easy to put on and take off, is inexpensive, has a good feeling of wearing, and does not cause pain even when worn for a long time has been long awaited.

[Means for Solving the Problem] Therefore, the present inventor has finally completed the present invention as a result of intensive research in view of the above points, and its characteristics are as follows.
It is one of the soft orthoses that aims to correct paravalgia by compressing the head of the metatarsal bone while biasing the tip of the big toe in a direction away from the phallus, and is fitted onto the head of the metatarsal bone. A cylindrical metatarsal band, a base band that is integral with the metatarsal band and is fitted to the support band, and one end of which is fixed to the base band and whose free end can be locked to the base band. The belt has a hook-and-loop fastener on the back side.

Here, the term "metatarsal head portion" refers to the area near the root of the calcaneus of the foot. There is a metatarsal head part in everything from the parasymbol to the VM, but since these are lined up almost in a straight line, going around it and tightening it means, in other words,
Attaching the heel is to wrap it along the root. Tightening means applying tension, and this force causes the 111th metatarsal head to evert. Force it toward the f side. It is also possible to freely adjust the length of the metatarsal band depending on the circumference and the severity of the symptoms.

The metatarsal band is cylindrical, so attachment involves passing the toe inside the cylinder. Therefore, in the case of a simple cylindrical brace, everything from the base plate to No. It is configured so that it is covered with the mother ID band. This mother band is integral with the metatarsal band.

This belt has a hook-and-loop fastener at the other end, which allows it to be secured to the mother ID band. A cushioning material is sandwiched between the belt and the motherboard band, thereby applying a force in the direction of increasing the gap between the motherboard and the first IM. Any cushioning material may be used for the sandwiching material. Absorbent cotton, sponge, pieces of cloth, soft rubber, etc. are considered suitable.

FIG. 1 shows an orthosis 1 for correcting bunion according to the present invention (hereinafter referred to as "
As is clear from the figure, the present invention orthosis 1 includes a cylindrical metatarsal band 2 and an integral part of the metatarsal band 2. It consists of a mother ID band 3 and a belt 4 having one end fixed to the mother ID band 3. Hook-and-loop fasteners 5 are scattered on the back surface of the free end portion of the belt 4, so that the belt 4 can be locked to the motherboard band 3. In the illustrated example, the material of the mother ID band 3 does not lock the hook-and-loop fastener 5, so a hook-and-loop fastener is also provided on the side of the mother ID band 3 so that it can be locked. Some of them can be locked, so this can be omitted on the mother ID side.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a metatarsal support 7 is provided on the back surface of the metatarsal belt 2. This prevents splayed feet (also called transverse flat feet), which is seen in many patients with hallux valgus or flat feet, and corrects the depression of the transverse arch of the forefoot. In this example, silicone rubber, which has appropriate elasticity and feels good when worn, is used as the material. The shape is a disc with a swollen central part, which is connected to the metatarsal heald 2.
A part of the back side of the holder is double-layered, and the periphery is sewn between the two.
