(Structure of the invention) In this invention, in a weather strip retainer that is attached to an opening in the vehicle body and brought into contact with a rising door glass, the retainer holding the weather strip is positioned on the outer side of the vehicle at the periphery of the vehicle body opening. The outside wall portion of the retainer is disposed from below the groove formed by the drip rail to the peripheral edge of the vehicle body opening, and is positioned below the groove formed by the drip rail of the retainer, and is extended to near the upper edge of the raised door glass. This is a mounting structure for a weather strip retainer, characterized in that the weather strip retainer is brought into contact with the groove portion of the drip rail via an adhesive, rubber, or the like.

The vehicle body opening 1 is formed by combining an outer panel 2 and an inner panel 3, and a drip rail 4 is fixed to the vehicle outer side wall surface of the outer panel 2, and a roof panel 5 is fixed to the drip rail 4. Then, a retainer 14 for a weather strip 12 is fixed to the peripheral edge of the vehicle body opening 1 (lower end portion of the outer panel 2), with which the rising door glass 8 is brought into contact.

As shown in FIG. 2, the retainer 14 is inserted into the vehicle body opening 1 from below the groove formed by the drip rail 4.
The base part 14a is arranged around the peripheral edge of the vehicle body and is fixed to the vehicle body opening 1, the outer side wall part 14b is located below the groove, and the inner side wall part 14c. The retainer 10 shown in the conventional example shown in FIG. 3 has a different shape of the wall portion 14b on the outside of the vehicle.

Further, in order to make the vehicle body a flash surface, the extending portion 14e is designed to support the holding portion 12a of the weather strip 12 that receives the upper edge of the door glass 8 when the door glass 8 is moved to the outside of the vehicle. (Effect of the idea) In order to make the car body a flat surf system,
When trying to move the door glass to the vehicle body, with the conventional structure shown in Figure 3, there is no support of the weather glass holding part that receives the upper edge of the door glass. When the glass is raised and brought into contact with the door glass, the holding part collapses or comes off from the upper edge of the door glass, spoiling the aesthetics and making it impossible to maintain the airtightness of the vehicle interior. However, as shown in the embodiment of FIG.
Since the extending portion 14e is formed on the outer wall portion 14b of the retainer 14 located below the vehicle groove to support the holding portion 12a of the weather strip 12, when moving the door glass to the outer side of the vehicle, The raised upper edge is accommodated within the holding portion 12a, thereby maintaining the airtightness of the passenger compartment and making it possible to create a flat surface for the vehicle body.

Also, a portion 14d attached to the wall portion 14b of the retainer 14
Since the two are brought into contact with each other by interposing the intervening member 15, when a load is applied to the retainer 14, the two work together to maintain strength and prevent deformation. Furthermore, although a certain degree of assembly error occurs in the positional relationship between the two, by interposing the intervening member 15, this assembly error can be absorbed and a normal installation state can be achieved. Note that the intervening member serves as a sealing member and can prevent rainwater and the like from entering from the outside of the vehicle.

This structure has the advantage of being of extremely high practical value, since it is possible to use a flash surface without abolishing the drip rail.
