Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 この考案は、印刷用紙の耳部分切断機構に係
り、さらに詳細には切断後の耳部分の浮き上がり
を防止した切断機構に関するものである。

ラインプリンタ等の印刷装置には、印字後の用
紙処理手段として印刷用紙の両側または片側の紙
送り孔の設けられている所謂耳部分を切断する機
構を備えた機種が存在する。しかしてこの切断機
構としては、第1図および第2図に示すシヤ方式
のものが知られている。すなわちシヤ方式の切断
機構は、上刃1と下刃2とをそれぞれ回転駆動し
て走行中の用紙3より耳部分3aを切断する構成
である。しかるに、この切断機構では切断された
後の耳部分3aが、用紙走行動作に伴つて進行し
かつ用紙の幅方向に形成されたミシン目の折り目
の折れ癖によつて点線3bのごとく浮き上がつて
該切断機構における上刃、下刃の駆動軸4ならび
に紙送りトラクタ(図示せず)に巻き込まれ、そ
のため用紙3が破損するという問題がある。そこ
で従来、この問題対処として、用紙の耳部分の切
断が選択的に行われることも考慮し、上刃1に近
接して用紙排出側に切断された耳部分3aを下方
に案内するガイド板5を上下動自在に配置して切
断後の当該耳部分の浮き上がりを防止する方法が
採られている。ところがこの方法では耳部分の切
断有無に応じて前記ガイド板5を手動で上または
下操作しなければならず、その作業が面倒である
ばかりか、操作忘れがしばしばあつて信頼性に欠
けるものであつた。

行され、一対の上刃1と下刃2とで耳部分3aが
切断される。切断された耳部分3aは、用紙排出
側に何らかのガイド手段がないと前述のように上
刃1の駆動軸4等に巻き込まれ、当該用紙を破損
することになる。そのため本考案では、図に示す
ように上刃1に隣接して浮上態勢の用紙耳部分の
ミシン折り目部と当接しそれを下方にガイドする
ローラ6を、前記駆動軸4に固着している。この
耳部分押さえローラ6は、上刃1の用紙切断に支
障ないようにするためその直径が上刃の直径より
も僅かに小さい形状を有し、かつ外周面を滑らか
にして用紙走行を良好にしており、例えば耐摩耗
の良い金属製ローラを用いるのが好ましい。な
お、符号7は切断された用紙3の耳部分3aを下
方に案内する固定のガイド板である。

駆動軸4および紙送りトラクタ等に巻き込まれる
ことがない。しかも、耳部分押さえローラ6は回
転体であり、かつミシン折り目部およびその両側
近傍以外と非接触なので用紙の紙送り孔が引つ掛
かる心配もない。

業性が非常に良い。従つて、ラインプリンタ等に
内蔵させたり、印刷装置とは別の用紙後処理装置
に適用してきわめて有益である。
