The monitored device is configured to generate an alarm. A monitoring device placed for each monitored device monitors this alarm. The central monitoring device performs intensive monitoring by sequentially polling these monitoring devices for the presence or absence of alarms.

る。In such a monitoring device, if the central monitoring device responds to the presence or absence of an alarm at the time of polling, it is not possible to monitor an alarm that temporarily occurs during polling and then recovers. Therefore, conventional monitoring devices hold alarms output from monitored devices in an accumulated alarm buffer as accumulated alarm information until the next polling occurs.

In this case, accumulated alarm information is accumulated in the accumulated alarm buffer of the monitoring device from time t, as shown in the figure, until time t3, when the first polling after time t2 occurs.

As for the response from the monitoring device, a low level signal indicates "no alarm" and a high level signal indicates "alarm present".

This information is retained as pre-alarm information in 2. In response to polling C2, the monitoring device determines that alarm information has occurred between polling CI and polling C2 and responds with an alarm since the previous alarm information indicates no alarm and the accumulated alarm information indicates alarm. d).

However, when the alarm information generated before and after polling is restored, a recovery response is sent to the central monitoring device with a delay of I polling. In other words, as shown in FIG. 4a, even though the alarm has actually recovered at time t2, there is no recovery response at the first poll c4 after time t, and the poll is delayed by one poll. A recovery response is sent in C5. Therefore, when there are many central monitoring devices, the status of the monitored devices cannot be accurately monitored due to the delay of one polling.
Recovery will also be delayed.

The monitored device 11 detects various failures such as power outage and outputs alarm information. The monitoring device 12 includes a CPU (central processing unit) and a storage unit (not shown), and monitors the alarm information of the monitored bag ff1ll, stores necessary information, and determines whether alarm information occurs or is restored. Based on this determination, the monitoring device 12 responds to periodic polling from the central monitoring device 13 with an alarm or no alarm.

Since the alarm information is output from the monitored device 11 over a periodic period (FIG. 3a), the monitoring device 12 further refers to the current alarm information. Here, the alarm information is output before and after the previous polling C2. The purpose of determining whether or not the alarm information is present is to distinguish it from a case in which alarm information that occurs and recovers during each polling cycle occurs continuously. At the time of polling C3, alarm information is output from the monitored device 11. Therefore, current alarm information with an alarm is held in the current alarm information buffer 19.

Since alarm information is not output from the monitored device 11 at the time of polling C4 (see figure a), the current alarm information without an alarm is held in the current alarm information buffer 19. Therefore, the monitoring is performed for polling C4. Device 12 determines that the monitored device has been restored and responds to the central monitoring device with no alarm.
