The present invention relates to an asphalt-based waterproof composition.
Specifically, (A) an asphalt component consisting of straight asphalt and blown asphalt and having a specified blending ratio, (B) vulcanized powder rubber, (C) atactic polypropylene, and optionally (D) thermoplastic. The present invention relates to an asphalt-based waterproof composition made of block copolymer rubber, characterized in that it has a softening point of 100°C or higher and a penetration level of 100 or lower. Because asphalt-based waterproofing compositions are inexpensive and have excellent performance, they are widely used as sealants between concrete plates in buildings, railroads, and roads, joint sealants for water pipes, and rooftop waterproofing materials. , asphalt and various raw rubbers, such as natural rubber, butyl rubber, styrene, etc.
butadiene rubber, thermoplastic rubber, or resin,
For example, those containing atactic polypropylene, petroleum resin, etc. are known. However, these known compositions still have problems such as changes in physical properties due to temperature changes in summer and winter, recovery from deformation, and workability during work, and are also insufficient in terms of the balance between price and performance. It was hot. An object of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks of these known waterproof compositions and to provide an asphalt-based waterproof composition having excellent performance. The object of the present invention is to use (A) a mixed component of straight asphalt and blown asphalt having a specified blending ratio as the asphalt component, and add (B) vulcanized powder rubber and (C) atactic polypropylene to this asphalt component. Both can be achieved by further blending (D) thermoplastic block copolymer rubber as required. That is, the gist of the present invention is as follows: (A) an asphalt component consisting of 55 to 95% by weight of straight asphalt and 5 to 45% by weight of blown asphalt;
parts by weight, (B) vulcanized powder rubber, 30 to 60 parts by weight, and
(C) An asphalt-based waterproof composition comprising 5 to 20 parts by weight of atactic polypropylene having a viscosity average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000, and having a softening point of 100°C or higher and a penetration value of 100 or lower, or (A ) 100 parts by weight of an asphalt component consisting of 65 to 85% by weight of straight asphalt and 15 to 35% by weight of blown asphalt, (B) 30 to 60 parts by weight of vulcanized powder rubber, and (C) a viscosity average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000. atactic polypropylene, 5 to 20 parts by weight, and (D) general formula A-B-A, (A-B) o -A, B-(A
-B) o or (A-B) o (where A is from 2000 to
B is a vinyl aromatic polymer block with a molecular weight of 100,000 and B is a conjugated diene polymer block with a molecular weight of 4,000 to 100,000. Also, n is 2~
It is a real number of 4. ), a thermoplastic block copolymer rubber having a softening point of 100
The present invention relates to an asphalt-based waterproof composition characterized by having a penetration temperature of 100° C. or higher and a penetration value of 100 or lower. Hereinafter, the asphalt-based waterproof composition according to the present invention will be described in more detail. The asphalt component (component (A)) in the present invention is a mixture consisting of 65 to 85% by weight of straight asphalt and 15 to 35% by weight of blown asphalt. What is straight asphalt here?
It is specified in JIS-K2207 and has a softening point of 30 to 90°C, preferably 35 to 80°C.
Also, blown asphalt is also JIS-
It is specified in K2207 and has a softening point of 65~
The temperature is 160°C, preferably 80-150°C. The combination of straight asphalt and blown asphalt and their blending ratio are important.
If blown asphalt is not used, or if the amount is less than the above range, the softening point of the composition will drop significantly and fluidity will increase in summer, which is undesirable. On the other hand, if only blown asphalt is used, Alternatively, if the blending amount exceeds the above range, the compatibility with component (C) decreases, resulting in poor mixing workability during production. The vulcanized powder rubber (component (B)) in the present invention refers to vulcanized rubber, specifically natural rubber, isoprene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber,
It is made by crushing vulcanized rubber such as butyl rubber or a mixture thereof into a powder form, for example, 5 to 60 meshes, preferably 10 to 40 meshes, and from an economic point of view, it is suitable for truck and bus tires and passenger car tires. It is preferable to use pulverized waste products of industrial rubber products. The amount of component (B) is 30 to 60 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component (A). If component (B) is not used, or if the amount is less than the above range, the compression recovery and flexibility of the waterproof composition will be insufficient, resulting in excessive fluidity in summer. On the other hand, if it exceeds the above range, it will be difficult to mix or mold during manufacturing, and the melt viscosity will increase, so when remelted and used, it will lead to deterioration due to overheating and the physical properties will deteriorate significantly. do. Atactic polypropylene ((C)
component) has a softening point of 100 to 160℃, preferably 110℃.
It is an amorphous polypropylene having a temperature of ~150°C and a viscosity average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000, preferably 10,000 to 100,000, and from an economic point of view, a by-product during the production of crystalline polypropylene is preferred. Further, it may contain a small amount of crystalline polypropylene. The amount of component (C) is 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component (A).
~20 parts by weight. If component (C) is not used or its amount is less than the above range,
The elongation of the composition is small, and the flexibility at low temperatures is not improved, so it cannot be preferably used as a waterproof material. On the other hand, if it exceeds the above range, the mixed melt viscosity during production will increase and workability will decrease. In the present invention, in addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (C), (D) thermoplastic block copolymer rubber may be blended as necessary. Here, (D) thermoplastic block copolymer rubber is one having the general formula A-B-A, (A-B) o -A, B-(A-B) o or (A-B) o It is. In the formula, A
is a vinyl aromatic polymer block having a molecular weight of 2000 to 100000, preferably 2000 to 5000, where the vinyl aromatic polymer includes styrene, α-
Examples include methylstyrene, among which styrene is preferred. In addition, B in the formula has a molecular weight of 4000 to
100,000, preferably 4,000 to 8,000, and examples of the conjugated diene here include butadiene, isoprene, piperylene, etc. Among them, butadiene is preferred. In the formula, n is a real number from 2 to 4. Particularly preferred as component (D) is a polystyrene-polybutadiene-polystyrene block copolymer. When combining component (D), the amount of component (A)
The amount is 3 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight. Above (A)
By using component (D) in addition to component (C), a waterproof composition with better recovery properties can be obtained, but even if the amount exceeds the above range, the increase in the amount The desired effect cannot be obtained, and it is even unfavorable from an economic standpoint. The asphalt-based waterproof composition according to the present invention has a ball softening point (JIS K2207) of 100°C or higher, preferably 120°C or higher, and a penetration rate (JIS K2207) of 100 or lower, and the blending ratio of each component is , can be appropriately selected from the above range as long as this condition is satisfied. Furthermore, in the present invention, a plasticizer may be blended in addition to the components (A) to (C) or components (A) to (D), if necessary. In addition, there was little change in physical properties due to temperature changes in summer and winter, excellent recovery from deformation, and good workability during mixing. Comparative Example 1 is a composition using only blown asphalt as the component (A), but its low-temperature flexibility is insufficient and it cannot be used preferably in winter, and its compatibility is insufficient, making it difficult to mix. It took a long time to process, and the workability was also poor. Comparative Example 2 is a composition using only straight asphalt as the component (A), but the fluidity in summer is excessive, as is clear from the decrease in the softening point and the increase in "sag". Summer. Moreover, the compression recovery property was also insufficient. Comparative Example 3 was a composition consisting only of components (A) and (C), but had low compression recovery properties and excessive fluidity in summer. Comparative Example 4 is a composition consisting only of component (A) and component (B), but the composition has insufficient elongation.
Furthermore, low temperature flexibility was also unsatisfactory. Comparative Example 5 was a composition consisting only of component (B) and component (C), but due to poor compatibility, a great deal of time and labor was required for the mixing operation. Furthermore, the low temperature flexibility was also insufficient. In the asphalt-based waterproof composition of Example 1, the same performance tests as in Example 1 were conducted for Comparative Examples 6 to 9, in which only the ratio of the asphalt components, straight asphalt and blown asphalt, was changed as shown in the table below. I went. The results are shown in the table below. From this result, it can be seen that excellent effects cannot be obtained when the quantitative ratio between straight asphalt and blown asphalt is outside the range of the present invention.
