Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance cushioning performance by a method wherein a bag is made of synthetic resin film, a foamed body having a continuous gas-containing part such as foaming polystyrol is sealed in the bag and holes are formed in the synthetic resin film by needle, the edged tool having a sharp end and the pressure of a gas or liquid injected from a small hole. CONSTITUTION:A foamed body 2 is the formed mass having gas passages formed therein wholly or partly in communication with one another and containing a gas such as air in a solid or semisolid state. It is then placed into the bag made of synthetic resin film 1. The synthetic resin film 1 has small holes 4 of at most 0.5mm formed therein by needle, etc. When the cushioning materials thus made are placed into a packing case and forced into between each of the articles therein, the air is expelled from the cushioning materials to permit them to be inserted easily therebetween and, with the passage of time, they are expanded sufficiently to form perfect cushions. Since such expanded cushioning materials have the holes shaped into a convex form, the gas is difficult to escape to the exterior, leading to the retention of a perfect cushioning function.

Means for Solving the Problem A bag is made from a synthetic resin film 1, and a foamed molded product 2 having an open cell portion such as expanded polystyrene is sealed inside the bag, and a sharp blade such as a needle, or a hole is inserted into the bag. The synthetic resin film 1 is perforated by the pressure of gas, liquid, etc. spouted out.
Use as a buffer material.

When the cushioning material prepared in this way is placed in a packaging box and press-fitted into each packaged item, the air in the bag for slow insertion is temporarily released from inside the bag to the outside, making it easy to remove each packaged item. It is inserted between articles and expands over time to form a complete cushion.

Effects of the Invention The foamed molded body 2 built into the bag made of the synthetic resin film 1 has the function of sucking in and exhausting gas, and the hole 4 formed in the convex shape 5 has a valve function that automatically opens and closes. Therefore, the bag can be easily inserted between each packaged article, and after insertion, the bag expands again to improve the cushioning properties between each packaged article 2, and has the effect of being industrially inexpensive and having a stable function.
