【特許請求の範囲】 カード状の記録媒体を取込搬送して磁気読取手段により
この記録媒体に付された媒体種別情報を含む磁気情報の
読取処理を行うとともに、必要に応じて前記記録媒体に
印刷手段を用いて文字情報の印刷処理を行う記録媒体処
理装置において、前記印刷手段による印刷領域を通過す
る印刷通路と前記印刷領域を通過しない非印刷通路とを
備えた分岐搬送路と、前記磁気読取手段の読取結果を基
に記録媒体に対する印刷を行うか否かを示す印刷情報を
送出する印刷判別手段と、 この印刷判別手段からの印刷情報を基に前記印刷通路、
非印刷通路の切換えを自動的に行う通路切換手段とを 有することを特徴とする記録媒体処理装置。
