本発明は、ステンレス鋼41Fを巻取る際に、ステンレ
ス綱柑同士の接触による疵を防止するための間紙を、ス
テンレス鋼帯に挿入する装置に関するものである.
く従来の技術〉
ステンレスm ’IiFをリール(通常テンションリー
ルと呼ばれる)で巻取る際には、下取りと呼ばれる巻取
り方が比較的多く用いられる.これは、第3図に示すよ
うに、コイル進行方向の向かって右側からテンシッンリ
ール4を見て時計回りの方向に、すなわち下から上へ巻
取る方法である。この方法が多く用いられるのは、間紙
3を上から挿入する際に、コイル2が間紙3を自然に巻
き込む方向に回転しているためである.
〈発明が解決しようとする!i題〉
この下取り方法の場合には、コイル最後部においては、
コイル尾端2aが下から上へ移動するわけであるが、コ
イル最上部を通過するとコイル尾端2aは、コイル外周
部から離れ、遠心力で振り回されつつ上から下へ一気に
落下する.間紙3は、一aに厚さ50〜100μ膳位の
薄手のクラフト紙を用いるため、このコイル尾端2aの
動きにより、第4図に示すように、間紙3は容易に切断
されてしまう問題がある.これは間紙払出しりール5の
慣性力が大きいため、コイル尾端2aのはね出しによる
衝撃に間紙3が耐えられず、切断してしまうのである.
間紙は、前述したステンレス鋼帯同士の接触疵を防止す
るために用いる他、コイル外周部で発生するへこみ疵(
例えばバンド結束時に外周のステンレス鋼帯に疵を入れ
ること、又はis、保管時に他コイルと接触することに
より生じる)を防ぐために、コイルの外周にl〜数巻き
分を追加して巻付けるケースがある.
ところが、コイル尾端のはね出しにより間紙が切れてし
まうため、この追加の巻付けができないという問題があ
った.
本発明は、このような問題に漏みてなされたものであり
、コイル尾端による間紙の切断を防止することができる

力調整用の位置可変のデフレクタロールを配置したこと
を特徴とするステンレス鋼}IFの間紙挿入装置である

本発明の作用を第1、2図により説明する.コイル尾端
のはね出しによる間紙の切断は、間紙払出しリールの慣
性力が間紙強度と比較して大きいために、間紙払出しリ
ールの払出し速度が相対的に遅く、間紙が耐え切れずに
切断されてしまうためである.
そこで、間紙払出しリール5とテンションリール4の間
に、水平方向に移動可能なデフレクタロール6を設け、
ここで間紙3をデフレクトすることで十分な間紙長さを
ストックするようにした.このデフレクタロール6は、
通常は間紙払出しリール5とテンシッンリール4間に所
定の間紙長さをストックできる位置に制1flされてい

であるが、その保護のため間紙3を必要な巻数分巻付け

)で間紙3を切断すればよい.

た.コイル尾端のはね出しにより、デフレクタロール6
は約2m間紙3により、間紙払出しリール5側に引っ張
られたが、間紙3は切断されることなく巻取りが継続し
、間紙3をコイル尾端から5回転分巻取り、間紙3を切
断し当該コイルの巻取り作業を終了した.
〈発明の効果〉
以上説明したように、本発明により、コイル尾端で間紙
が切断することがなくなり、必要な長さの間紙の巻取り
が可能である.これにより、コイル結束時やコイル運搬
時に、コイル外周部に生じるへこみ疵が減少し、表面品
