There is. Particularly in ID cards and the like, the image of the face is most important along with the text information such as address and name.

Additionally, there are problems in that the surface of the card becomes uneven and loses its smoothness, and furthermore, it is easy to falsify or forge by replacing the face photo.
上記の顔写真の貼着方法の欠点を解決する方法として、
昇華転写方法による画像形成方法が開発されている。As a way to solve the drawbacks of the above method of attaching facial photos,
An image forming method using a sublimation transfer method has been developed.

It has the advantage that facial photographs can be reproduced with Motomurakami and various characters etc. can be printed at the same time, and these characters can also be formed using a hot-melt ink type thermal transfer method, all of which can be carried out with a simple thermal transfer printer. However, since the various types of information obtained by the thermal transfer method described above are insufficient in terms of abrasion resistance and the like, a transparent surface protective layer having excellent abrasion resistance and the like is generally provided on the surface of facial photographs and the like.

It cannot be completely ruled out that there is a risk that the protective layer may be removed using , acid, base, etc., resulting in falsification or forgery of facial photographs and other information.

(Preferred Embodiments) Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail by citing preferred embodiments. The card of the present invention has information such as a facial photograph 2 and characters 3 formed on the surface of a card base material 1, and at least part of the surface of the information is formed as shown in FIG. The example shown in the first diagram is a card base material 1 which is preferable in the present invention.
This example shows a structure in which transparent polyvinyl chloride layers 8 and 8' are laminated on both sides of a center core 7 made of polyvinyl chloride containing a white pigment. At least the transparent vinyl chloride layer 8, which is the image forming surface, contains an appropriate amount of plasticizer to improve dyeability.

Parts by weight, and a particularly preferred range is from 3 to 5 parts by weight. If the amount of plasticizer used is too small, the dyeability for sublimation dyes will be insufficient, while if it is too large, the dye-receiving surface will lack rigidity and become soft, and the printed image will bleed during storage. This is not preferable because a clear image cannot be obtained.

Further, at the same time, information 3 such as characters can be formed using a sublimation type thermal transfer sheet, but it is preferable to form such character information 3 using a hot melt ink type thermal transfer sheet that can print high-density black. Of course, these face photos 2
Although the text information 3 and text information 3 may be formed using separate thermal transfer sheets, it is advantageous in terms of process to form them simultaneously using a composite thermal transfer sheet that has both a sublimable dye layer and a meltable ink layer.

These protective layers 4 may be provided on the entire surface of the recorded information, or may be provided on a portion thereof. Although these protective layers 4 may be provided in a separate process from the recording of each information, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a sublimable dye layer of at least one color and at least one color is provided on the base film. By using a composite thermal transfer sheet in which heat-melting ink layers and protective layers are sequentially provided, gradation images such as facial photographs and landscapes, monotonous images such as letters and symbols, and transparent protective layers can be printed in the same manner. It can be shaped simultaneously with two thermal transfer sheets.

It is said that The above-mentioned pattern is preferably provided at least adjacent to the protective layer as described above. These patterns may be any pattern as long as they do not hide the recorded information covered by them, such as company names, symbol marks, landscapes, abstract paintings, background patterns, holograms, etc., and are not particularly limited. It may be a transparent colored layer or a uniform layer having the functions described below. Therefore, in the present invention, these uniform layers are also referred to as patterns for convenience. In order to form a pattern that can be observed with the naked eye without concealing recorded information, it is sufficient to form the pattern with relatively low density using highly transparent pigments, dyes, fluorescent dyes, etc. On the other hand, in the case of a pattern that cannot be recognized with the naked eye but can be recognized with infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, etc., the violet-infrared absorber, ultraviolet absorber, etc.
It can be formed using optical brighteners, etc. It is also possible to form a pattern using a dye or the like (oxygen indicator) that develops color when it comes into contact with oxygen; in this case, by forming the pattern on the inside of the protective layer,
The pattern develops color when the protective layer is destroyed.

For example, when the protective layer is formed by film lamination, a pattern may be printed on the film in advance using an ink containing a pattern forming agent as described above. In addition, if the shape is to be determined by a coating method, a pattern may be printed on the surface of the protective layer after it is formed.

100 copies Next, a protective layer was transferred onto the surface of the facial photograph obtained above using the above-mentioned protective layer thermal transfer sheet by a thermal transfer method to obtain a card of the present invention. Even after removing the protective layer of this card, modifying the face photo, and applying lacquer to the protective layer, it was clear that the card had been tampered with. Examples 2 to 5 Cards according to the present invention were obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the following inks were used in place of the pattern layer of the protective layer thermal transfer sheet of Example 1 to create protective layer thermal transfer sheets. .. The pattern of the card of Example 2 is visible, but the pattern of the cards of Examples 3 to 5 is not visible. The card of Example 3 can be clearly recognized under a black light, and the card of Example 4 can be recognized as a black shade under a black light.
The card of Example 5 can be identified with an infrared detector. It was difficult to tamper with any of the above cards.

A heat-melting thermal transfer sheet and a protective layer thermal transfer sheet (without a pattern layer) are used to transfer facial photographs, letters, and a protective layer in the same manner, and then a checkered pattern is printed on top of this using a sublimation thermal transfer sheet with low printing energy. Then, a protective layer was transferred thereon again to obtain a card of the present invention having the structure shown in Figure 4. In the case of this card, a thin checkered stripe was visually observed on the face photograph, and it was also difficult to tamper with it.
