[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention is a method for preserving shoulder joint abduction in the event of shoulder-elbow plate injury, subluxation, dislocation, fracture, etc. of the humerus and shoulder area. This relates to the structure of the orthosis.

The shoulder joint is a typical ball-and-socket joint between the scapula and humerus, and its motion is multiaxial, making it the most mobile joint in the human body. It corresponds to the hip joint of the lower limb,
The glenoid fossa is shallower than this, so it has great mobility. However, as mentioned above, it is prone to dislocation.

Treatments vary depending on the symptoms, site of injury, and in the case of sports, how much mobility is expected after return, but can be roughly divided into conservative therapy and surgical therapy. Furthermore, dislocations of the shoulder joint in particular tend to become habit-forming, so it is a good idea to strengthen the muscles of the sublaminar and biceps brachii muscles. Furthermore, even when surgery is performed, measures such as immobilization for several weeks after the surgery are often required.

In conservative treatment, a brace is worn to maintain a resting limb position depending on the individual case. Although there are slight differences in this resting limb position, the basic position is lateral elevation of 60° and horizontal flexion of 3.
The functional limb position is 0° and 90" elbow flexion. Therefore, the orthosis should basically follow this and make fine adjustments depending on the case. However, each individual body As for the disparity, there is a large difference, so in reality, the metal supports and belts used to maintain the above-mentioned functional limb positions are manufactured after a considerable number of manufacturing days after model preservation. It became possible to wear it for the first time.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, all of these conventional shoulder braces utilize metal struts at least for lateral elevation. Therefore, it tends to be heavy and bulky, and the pressure on the skin and brachial nerves causes pain to the patient, especially when sleeping.

In addition, in the case of shoulder disorders, the onset is often instantaneous, as seen in sports accidents, and braces are often manufactured without sufficient model retention, making it difficult to fit them. It was becoming easier to cause problems.

In addition, because it took many days to manufacture and it was impossible to wear it immediately, it can be said that there was no effective measure for the shoulder joint to provide emergency treatment, which is very important for joint disorders in general.

Therefore, in view of the above points, the present inventor has conducted extensive research and has finally created the present invention brace, which is lightweight and has a simple structure, can be used immediately as a first aid in an emergency, and can effectively respond to shoulder treatment. The feature is that it is a brace for holding the shoulder joint in a functional limb position, and is shaped like a right triangle in cross-section and fits between the upper limb and the iliac crest on the side of the body in the functional limb position. The cushioning bag has a cushion bag, a belt body that is wound around the body to support the cushion bag, and an upper limb support body that supports the upper limbs placed on the upper part of the cushion body.

Here, the "cushion bag" corresponds to a table on which the upper limb is placed in order to hold it when a shoulder joint disorder occurs, and has some elasticity. However, it goes without saying that this elasticity does not impede the basic purpose of holding the upper limbs, and does not cause the position of the upper limbs to change significantly due to slight movements such as walking. This cushion bag has body Ig! Since it is inserted into the thorax and abdomen from the side to the front to receive the upper limbs, the weight of the bag itself and the weight of the upper limbs is received mainly on the side of the body, reducing the pressure. Elasticity is added to disperse force and eliminate the feeling of pressure.

In this sense, it is thought that something with appropriate elasticity would be more suitable than something like a soft sponge. In particular, sheets with many air bags (often used as cushioning materials) are lightweight, and even if one or two air bags break, they have little effect on the retention of the upper limbs. This is also desirable.

Further, the cushion bag has a generally right triangular shape when viewed in cross section. This is a shape derived from the relationship between the surface of the cushion bag that runs along the side of the body and the surface on which the upper limbs are placed, and is used with the right-angled portion of the right triangle in contact with the armpit. In that case, the right angle should be slightly chamfered to make it easier to fit along the armpit. In addition, the cushion bag has elasticity and deforms to some extent during use, so it is not a "right triangle" in the strict sense of the word.
Even if the shape is slightly different from the above, it is included in the concept of the present invention. The positional relationship between the upper limb and the shoulder joint maintained by the present invention is approximately 60° of lateral elevation, 30° of horizontal flexion, and 90' of elbow flexion (of course, there is some variation depending on the case and individual differences). ), and this is the shoulder joint's
"Functional Limb Position". It can be said that the starting point of the present invention is to attempt to maintain the functional limb position by placing a cushion bag between the upper limb and the armpit abdomen in this functional limb position.

The "belt body" supports the upper limbs and the cushion bag, and is fixedly or detachably installed on the cushion bag. Although it is desirable to be able to adjust the length, the structure itself is not limited in the present invention, and may be any known structure such as a trouser belt-like structure or a seat belt-like structure. In addition, since it is not desirable for the entire brace to move too much relative to the body during daily activities such as walking, it is preferable to select a belt body with as little elasticity as possible. should be.

The "upper limb locking body" is a member for locking the upper limb to the upper part of the cushion bag, and is usually made of several belt-like parts to lock the upper limb in a functional position. Various structures are possible, but in order to accommodate the physical differences of cases and patients,
The upper limb locking body should not be installed in a fixed position; for example, hook-and-loop fasteners should be provided at both ends of a belt-like object, and almost the entire upper part of the cushion bag should be made of a material to which the hook-and-loop fasteners can be fixed. It becomes very suitable.

Further, an auxiliary bag 5 may be further attached to the upper limb placement surface 24 of the cushion bag 2 as shown in FIG. 3, so that the holding angle of the upper limb can be adjusted. A hook-and-loop fastener 51 is attached to the back side of the auxiliary bag 5, similar to the upper limb locking body 4, and the bag is joined with this. Auxiliary bag 5 after joining
Since the upper surface is the surface on which the upper limb is placed, the upper surface of the auxiliary bag 5 has the same properties as the upper limb resting surface 24 of the cushion bag 2.
That is, it is required to have a property that allows the hook-and-loop fastener 41 of the upper limb locking body 4 to be locked.
