[Detailed explanation of the invention] (Industrial application field) This invention relates to a weft yarn feeding cutter for a shuttleless loom.More specifically, in multicolor weft inserting, the selected weft yarn is cut from the front due to excessive tension. The present invention relates to a weft yarn feeding cutter for shuttleless looms such as rapiers, which has a function to prevent the rapier from mis-catching the weft due to movement.

(Prior art and its problems) In a rapier loom, etc., a weft selected by a weft selection device is captured by a rapier at the start of weft insertion, and then the selected weft is cut by a weft feed cutter. In this process, even if the weft yarn is selected by the selection device, the weft yarn is separated from the front due to the excessive tension generated during beating. For this reason, the path of the selected weft yarn is unstable, so that the selected weft yarn is not accurately captured by the rapier, and the cutting of the weft yarn becomes uncertain.

In order to avoid such inconveniences, conventionally, a waste selvage was formed on the outside of the woven selvage, and a guide called a yarn direct was provided on the outside of the selvage to constantly regulate the weft path. A yarn feed cutter was provided, and a selvage cutter was provided between the top weave selvage and the waste selvage to separate the waste selvage and trim the woven selvage. However, according to this method, the weft yarn between the weaving selvage and the discarded selvage is wasted. Furthermore, since two cutters and a guide are also used, the number of parts increases accordingly, leading to an increase in cost, which is undesirable.

In response to this, for example, the invention of Utility Model Publication No. 60-28697 has been proposed. According to this, the weft yarn cutting device is provided so as to be movable up and down to avoid collision with the reed during forward movement of the reed, and the cutting edge surface of the device is placed as close as possible to the woven fabric edge and between the woven fabric edge and the weft yarn feeding source. By placing the selvedges parallel to the weft yarns that are continuous to the weft threads, and making the selvedges extremely short, there is no need for discarded selvedges, and furthermore, the work of re-cutting can be omitted.

However, although this device can be said to be effective for inserting a single weft, there are problems when using it for inserting multiple color wefts. That is, since conventional yarn direct cannot be used, the path of the selected weft yarn is unstable and capture by the rapier is uncertain, and the cutting operation is similarly uncertain. Furthermore, even if the weft yarn is successfully captured by the rapier, if the weft yarn cutting device is brought as close as possible to the edge of the woven fabric as in the above invention, the unselected weft yarns, that is, the backup weft yarns will cling to the selected weft yarns due to fluff, etc. Due to so-called entrainment, even the weft of the binding ends up being cut.

In view of the above circumstances, the purpose of this invention is to ensure the capture of the weft by the rapier.

(Basic configuration for solving the problem) In this invention, when cutting, the fixed blade and the movable blade are in the upper standby position, and when cutting,
After descending to a predetermined position, the weft yarn connected to the weft yarn feeder and the woven fabric end is caught by the rapier, and when it is further guided to the cutting area of the weft yarn feeder cutter by the movement of the rapier, the weft yarn is caught by the fixed blade. On the other hand, in a weft yarn feed cutter in which a movable blade slides to cut the weft yarn, a guide member having a ridgeline that extends vertically and whose lower part is inclined toward the delivery side is attached to the weft yarn feed cutter. When the weft yarn feeder cutter is lowered, the lower end of the ridge line is located on the sending side between the weft and the woven fabric edge which are connected to the weft yarn feeder and the woven fabric edge, and the weft yarn feeder cutter is in a predetermined position. When the ridge line and the above-mentioned weft abut on the woven front extension line, and the intersection of the woven front extension line and the straight line connecting the weft catching position of the rapier at the cutting time and the outer end of the cutting area and the woven fabric edge. The gist is that it is located between the two.

Alternatively, it consists of a plate-shaped guide member 8 having a predetermined width attached to a movable blade 6, and a fixed blade bracket 10 and a movable blade bracket 12 that face the shed as shown in FIGS. 1A and B. The fixed blade 4 and the movable blade 6 move up and down in synchronization with the beating movement of the reed, and when cutting the weft, the blade is sandwiched between a plurality of wefts W and warp yarns connected to the edge of the woven fabric. The movable blade 6 is located in a region where the movable blade 6 slides against the side surface of the fixed blade 4.

The weft yarn feeding cutter 2 of this invention moves the selected weft yarn W connected to the edge of the woven fabric by the rapier after it is caught by the rapier, until it reaches the range where shearing force is generated, that is, the cutting action area 80. It operates to cut the weft thread when guided.

Contact occurs on the extension line of the previous one. This contact point is located between the edge of the woven fabric and the intersection of the straight line connecting the weft catching position of a rapier (not shown) and the outer end 84 of the cutting area 80 and the woven fabric extension line at the time of cutting. When the weft yarn feeder cutter 2 is in a predetermined position, this ridge line 82 is the cutting area 80, the woven fabric extension line, the line connecting the weft catching position of the rapier at the cutting time and the outer end 84 of the cutting area 80, and the ridge line. 81
It is located in an area surrounded by the weft thread Wa, which is stretched through the weft thread Wa to the weft capture position of the rapier at the time of cutting.

After beating the reed, as the reed moves backward, the weft feeder cutter 2 descends to a predetermined position while pushing the weft near the end of the weft inserted at the slope of the ridge line 81 of the guide member 8 toward the fabric front. When the rapier captures the selected weft and moves it to the warp shedding,
The selected weft Wa is guided to the cutting area 80 while being bent at the ridge line 82, and at this time the movable blade 6 slides against the side surface of the fixed blade 4 and is cut.
Note that the ridge lines 81 and 82 are both located closer to the fabric end than the line connecting the weft catching position of the rapier and the outer end 84 of the cutting area 80 at the time of cutting, so the bent weft Wa is not cut. It is guided to the working area 80 and cut.

When the weft yarn feeder cutter 2 descends to a predetermined position, the position of the weft yarn connected to the woven fabric edge near the woven fabric edge is regulated on the woven front extension line, so that the selected weft yarn Wa continuous from the woven fabric edge to the selection device route is determined. As a result, the selected weft Wa is reliably captured by the rapier. Furthermore, even if the backup weft Wb is attached to the selected weft Wa by bending the weft to a large extent by the line 82, it is separated from the selected weft Wa before reaching the cutting action area 80 of the weft yarn supply cutter 2, Since cutting is performed in this state, only the selected weft yarn Wa is cut, and it is possible to prevent the weft yarn Wb from being cut due to entrainment. Note that the guide member may be arranged according to the spirit of the present application, and the position of the cutting blade is not limited to the illustrated embodiment.

(Effects of the invention) According to this invention, by restricting the woven fabric end area of the weft yarn to the woven front extension line by the ridge line 81 of the guide member, the selected weft path is determined, and as a result, the weft yarn is moved by the rapier. Capturing will be ensured.

Moreover, since the guide member actively pushes the weft threads connected from the weft thread feeder to the fabric edge onto the front extension line, the weft thread feeder cutter can descend without interfering with the weft threads. Therefore, the weft yarn feeding cutters can be positioned closer to the ends of the woven fabric, and the selvedges can be further shortened.
