[Prior Art] Generally, as shown in FIG. 4, block type continuous casting machines construct a mold 2 by connecting a large number of blocks 1 in an endless manner, and create a mold space by combining the molds 2. Molten metal is supplied into this mold space from the hot water supply nozzle 4 of the tundish 3 inserted into one open end, and the solidified slab 5 and molds 2 are moved toward the other open end. Casting is carried out continuously. More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, there are wheels 7 on both left and right sides of the carrier frame 6 that holds the block 1.
are provided, and by placing the wheels 7 along guide rails 9 provided on both left and right sides of the mold frame 8,
The block 1 is moved through the movement of the carrier frame 6. A commonly thought method for moving this carrier frame 6 is to attach a chain between the wheel axles 10 and 10, and to provide a sprocket that meshes with the chain in the cast part of the mold frame 8. Not only is it necessary to transmit the power for moving the entire mold to one link of the chain, but there is also the problem that the meshing ratio is poor and smooth operation cannot be performed.

Therefore, in the past, a rack 13 was provided on the side of the carrier frame 6, and a drive gear 14 that meshed with the rack 13 was provided at the casting part of the mold frame 8.
The carrier frame 6 is moved through engagement between the drive gear 14 and the rack 13.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, in such a conventional system, since the drive gear 14 only meshes with the rack 13 of one carrier frame 6, the drive torque is concentrated on one block 1, causing There was a problem that the conveyance of 1 was often not carried out smoothly.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The block type continuous casting machine of the present invention has a chain between the carrier frames whose pitch is about 1/4 or less of the dimension in the moving direction of the carrier frames. It has a configuration in which a drive sprocket that is connected with slack and meshes with the chain is placed on the mold pouring side of the mold frame at the turn portion.

[Operation] Therefore, since the drive sprocket properly meshes with the chain located at the turn, the drive torque can be distributed and the block can be conveyed smoothly.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in the present invention,
In the block type continuous casting machine shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, instead of the rack 13, a shaft 10, 10 of the wheel 7 of each carrier frame 6 is provided between the shafts 10, 10 corresponding to the locus of movement of the wheel 7 at the turn. A drive sprocket 12' which is connected to a chain 15 whose pitch is approximately one-fourth or less of the dimension in the direction of movement of the carrier frame 6 and meshes with the chain 15 to provide the necessary slack such that the It is arranged at the center of the arc of the turn part of the mold frame 8.

Further, a guide protrusion 16 along the moving direction of the carrier frame 6 is provided at the center position (machine center position) of the surface of the mold frame 8 facing the carrier frame 6.
In addition, the guide protrusion 16 is provided on the surface of each carrier frame 6 facing the mold frame 8.
Guide wheels 17, 17 are mounted horizontally rotatably so as to sandwich the guide wheels 17, 17.

As described above, the pitch of the chain 15 connected between the respective wheel axles 10, 10 is approximately one-fourth or less of the dimension in the moving direction of the carrier frame 6, and the chain 15 has the required size. Since the slack is provided, the driving sprocket 12' and the chain 15 are properly engaged with each other at the turn portion of the mold frame 8. Therefore, the rotational force of the drive sprocket acts equally on the chain 15 at the turn portion, and the torque is distributed to each carrier frame 6. Also, at this time, the carrier frame 6 holds the guide protrusion 16 provided at the center position of the mold frame 8 by means of the guide wheels 17, 17.
The carrier frame 6 moves while maintaining the machine center position. As a result, each block 1 is transported smoothly.

[Effects of the invention] As explained above, according to the block type continuous casting machine of the invention, the pitch between each carrier frame is approximately one quarter or less of the dimension in the moving direction of the carrier frame. Since the chains are connected in series with the required slack, the drive torque when moving the carrier frame can be dispersed and blocks can be transported smoothly, which can contribute to improving product precision. It can produce excellent effects.
