[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in this method, as can be seen from the relationship between frequency and electric field level shown in FIG. 2, a signal exceeding the electric field level threshold A is generated in the frequency range B to C. FIG. 3 shows the relationship between the antenna level and the electric field level, where the solid line represents the target frequency level and the broken line represents the level of the adjacent frequency.

Therefore, when attempting to receive a signal at the desired frequency shown by the solid line in Figure 3, if a strong electric field radio wave at an adjacent frequency is generated as shown by the broken line in Figure 3, the signal at the adjacent frequency exceeding the electric field level threshold A is generated. The problem was that the signal would be received and the electric field would be detected as if it were receiving radio waves of the desired frequency.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, a field strength detection device according to the present invention includes a field strength detection circuit that detects the field strength of the received signal, and a noise level of the received signal. and a noise level detection circuit that detects a signal of a target frequency when the output of the field strength detection circuit exceeds a predetermined electric field level threshold and the output of the noise level detection circuit is below a predetermined noise level threshold. The gist is to include an electric field determination circuit that outputs a signal indicating.

[Operation] FIG. 4 shows the noise level at the target frequency and the noise level at adjacent frequencies, where the horizontal axis represents the antenna input level and the vertical axis represents the noise amplification output level. Note that E here is a threshold value of the noise level. As can be seen from the figure, as the antenna level increases, the noise level at the target frequency decreases, while the noise level at adjacent frequencies does not fall below a certain value.

This is because for frequencies other than the target frequency, overall distortion components such as phase distortion increase and generate noise, so the noise level does not decrease due to this distortion noise.

The radio waves arriving at antenna 1 are sent to high frequency amplifier 2
Using the signal from the local oscillator 4, the signal is converted to a signal at a predetermined intermediate frequency through the frequency converter 3, and sent to the intermediate amplifier 5. An intermediate frequency signal is taken out from this intermediate amplifier 5 to a noise level detection circuit 10 and a field strength detection circuit 12, and the noise level detection circuit 10 detects the noise level from the signal of this intermediate amplifier 5. A noise level reference comparison circuit 11 generates a comparison output indicating whether the detected output is above or below a predetermined noise level threshold. Further, the electric field strength detection circuit 12 detects the electric field level from the signal from the intermediate amplifier 5. An electric field strength reference comparison circuit 13 generates a comparison output indicating whether the detected output is above or below a predetermined electric field level threshold. Then, based on the output from the noise level reference comparison circuit 11 and the output from the electric field strength detection circuit 12, the electric field determination circuit 8 outputs an output indicating that the electric field level is above a predetermined electric field level threshold and an output indicating that the electric field level is below a predetermined noise level threshold. At certain times, a signal indicating that a signal of the target frequency has been received is outputted from the output 9 leading to the electric field level indicator, and at other times it is not outputted.
