Most commonly used pallet runners are made of wood shaped like columns, and the wood runners are sandwiched between upper and lower decks and secured with nails or screws. These runners form the space into which the forks of a forklift are inserted during container transportation, and are used in many pallets. As a recent trend, containers made of cardboard are being used instead of wooden or metal containers, and if the pallets on which these containers are placed are made of wood or metal, they are heavier and less strong. In other words, this will lead to overloading, and furthermore, it will lead to a significant cost increase.

In order to solve the problems of the above conventional example, Utility Model Application No. 56-133890 (Utility Model Application No. 58-38517) filed by the same applicant.
There is an invention in the earlier application of No. The invention of this prior application is somewhat satisfactory in that it is lightweight and has appropriate strength, but since it has a prismatic shape with a standing engagement piece and a folding plate, it is difficult to reduce the weight only in the vertical direction. If you think about it, it is sufficient in terms of strength, but in the case of pallets and the like, in addition to the weight, there is also lateral swinging, that is, twisting action, and the structure is not designed to counter this. In other words, it has the disadvantage of being strong against vertical weight but weak against twisting action.

The present invention was developed to achieve this purpose.
A strip-shaped center plate is provided along the longitudinal direction approximately at the center of a rectangular corrugated paperboard, and a side plate, an adhesive plate, and a folding plate are sequentially connected to each side of the center plate via folds. In both of these folding plates, a plurality of tongue-like pieces are formed by forming a plurality of pairs of notches at a predetermined interval in corresponding positions, and the folding plates are made to stand up and the entire body is assembled. A core tube having approximately the same height as the side plate is provided at the position where the tongue-like pieces fit when formed into a rectangular tube shape, and the core tubes are wrapped around and fixed so as not to separate adjacent adhesive plates. This is a pallet runner characterized by the following: Since a plurality of core tubes are wrapped around each other, the pallet runner has extremely high compressive strength and twist resistance, and is lightweight as a whole because it is made of paper.

Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the illustrated embodiment. A strip-shaped center plate 1 is provided along the longitudinal direction approximately at the center of a rectangular corrugated board, and folds 2 and 2 are formed on both sides of the center plate. Belt-shaped side plates 4 and 5 are connected to each other through folds 6 and 7, and adhesive plates 8 and 9, which are also belt-shaped, are connected to these side plates through folds 6 and 7. Furthermore, there is a crease 1 on the adhesive board.
Band-shaped folding plates 12 and 13 are integrally connected via holes 0 and 11.

These folding plates 12, 13 have a pair of notches 14, 15, 1 extending from the edge toward the folds 10, 11, respectively.
A plurality of tongue-like pieces 18 and 19 are formed by forming a plurality of tongues 6 and 17 at appropriate intervals. In the illustrated embodiment, three tongue-like pieces are formed, and the width of each tongue-like piece is made approximately equal to the inner diameter of the core tube, which will be described later.

The core tube 20 used is a paper cylinder having a predetermined wall thickness, as shown in FIG. As this core tube, for example, a core tube of a roll-up base paper for manufacturing corrugated paperboard is used, and its height is set at the side plates 4 and 5 as described above.
It is made approximately equal to the width of . In most cases, the core tube of the roll paper is disposed of after the paper is used.

The folding plates 12 and 13 including the adhesive plates 8 and 9 and the tongue-like pieces 18 and 19 are also folded inward, respectively, so that the whole becomes a rectangular tube shape, and the tongue-like pieces 1 are placed inside each core tube 20.
8 and 19 are inserted in an overlapping state, and the adhesive plates 8 and 9 are positioned in abutting state on the upper surface.

That is, with respect to the center plate 1, the side plates 4, 5 and the folding plates 12, 13 are located in an upright state, and the adhesive plates 8, 9 are located in a parallel state. As a result, the entire structure becomes a rectangular tube, and the folding plates 12 and 13 are positioned in the center of the rectangular tube with their palms together. Then, the tongue-like piece 8 fits into the core tube 20, and the pair of notches 14,1
5, 16, and 17 are in a state where they straddle the thick part of the mating core tube. Then, the adhesive plates 8 and 9 positioned abutting each other on the upper surface may be stapled at a plurality of locations or fixed with adhesive tape so that they do not separate from each other.
In any case, a rectangular pallet runner is formed with a plurality of core tubes 20 built therein.

To use the pallet runner formed in this way, as shown in FIG.
22 and is integrated by adhering with adhesive or the like. The upper and lower decks used in this case may be made of plywood or reinforced cardboard. When corrugated cardboard is bonded together, the runner can be attached extremely easily. Furthermore, in consideration of the overall strength of the pallet, a plurality of runners may be used, and the intervals between the runners may be such that the forks of the forklift can be inserted. In any case, when installing the runner, the space between the upper and lower decks is supported by the side plates 4 and 5 in the upright position, the folding plates 12 and 13 in the upright position, and the core tube 20 in the upright position, resulting in excellent strength. become something.

As explained above, the pallet runner according to the present invention is formed by folding rectangular corrugated paper into a prismatic shape, and when forming this prismatic shape, a plurality of core tubes are wrapped inside the pallet runner. Moreover, the tongue-shaped piece of the folding plate is inserted inside the core tube so that it does not move, making manufacturing and assembly extremely simple, and the use of the core tube increases pressure resistance. It exhibits various excellent effects such as significantly improved dimensional stability, no dimensional change even when heavy objects are piled up, no deformation at all even when subjected to twisting action, and can be provided at low cost.
