一対のガラス板間に液晶を配設してなる液晶セル
と、この液晶セルの駆動回路を構成する電子部品
等を備えた配線フイルムとを電気的に接続してな
る液晶表示装置において、 上記液晶セルを構成する一対のガラス板の一方
を延出形成し、この一方のガラス板に設けられた
透明電極を上記ガラス板の延出部まで延設して電
気接続部を形成し、この電気接続部上に上記駆動
回路を構成する上記電子部品を積層配置してなり
、この電子部品を積層配置した上記ガラス板の延
出部をその外側より挟持して所定の電気的接続を
なすカバー体を設けたことを特徴とする液晶表示
装置。 (2) 上記ガラス板の延出部の端部に、上記電子
部品への駆動信号等を伝達する配線フイルムを接
続する電気接続部を形成し、この電気接続部を介
して上記電子部品と配線フイルムとを電気的に接
続したことを特徴とする請求項(1)に記載の液晶
