Furthermore, in a loom such as that disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-171956, when the cloth roll is fully wound, the cloth roll replacement work is automatically performed without stopping the loom.

It is necessary to automatically detect whether the cloth roll is fully wound. This full spooling state can be detected by, for example, counting the number of rotations of the surface roller and the number of weft picks using a counter, calculating the actual length of the woven fabric to be wound onto the fabric roll from the counted values, and then determining the actual length of the woven fabric before weaving. This is done by equipping the loom with a cloth wrapping amount detection device that compares the set cloth length and the actual cloth length, and outputs a signal related to cloth wrapping roll replacement work when they match.

Conventionally, this zero-resetting operation was performed by the operator when the cloth wrapping work was completed. After checking, this was done by resetting the counter installed in the loom to zero. For this reason, even when the cloth roll replacement work is performed automatically, there is a drawback that the operator has to go all the way to the loom to get the rice. Also,
There is also a possibility that a worker forgets to reset the counter to zero, and that even though the fabric roll is fully wound, the full state is not detected.

A rotation detection signal output of 0 is given to the control device 28, and the control device 289 counter starts counting the number of rotations of the surface roller 14 (step S2 in FIG. 3). and,
Based on the counted value of the counter, the actual length of the woven fabric C to be wound around the fabric roll 12 is calculated (step S3 in the third diagram).

S4 is repeated. When the set fabric length and the actual fabric length do not match, no command is output from the control device 28 to each device 19, 23, 26, 27a, 27b, and the woven fabric C remains in the state shown in FIG. 2(A). There is no need for a worker to come to the loom and reset the loom every time the roll is replaced. In addition, in the above operation, the zero reset operation is performed before replacing the cloth winding roll, but since the zero reset operation is performed at the same time when replacing the cloth winding roll for the first time, it is possible to wind the cloth into a full roll. The actual fabric length is the same as the fabric length set by the fabric length setting device 29.
