Claims (1)
バルブステムと、該バルブステムの一端側に設け
られて内燃機関の本体の吸気もしくは排気用の通
路の燃焼室への開口部を開閉するためのバルブヘ
ツドとを有するエンジンバルブと、前記バルブス
テムの他端側に取付けられたリテーナと内燃機関
の本体の一部に形成されたスプリングシート部と
の間に介在されて前記エンジンバルブを前記開口
部の閉方向に付勢する圧縮コイルスプリングから
なるバルブスプリングとを有する動弁機構であつ
て、前記バルブスプリングと前記リテーナとの間
及び前記バルブスプリングと前記スプリングシー
ト部との間にはそれぞれ環状のプロテクタを介在
させ、該プロテクタはその内側もしくは外側の周
縁部に前記バルブスプリングの対応する端部の少
なくとも一部に嵌合する立縁と、内側もしくは外
側の前記周縁部に立設されて対応するバルブスプ
リングの巻線の一部に該バルブスプリングのほぼ
半径方向で接触する防振板とを有して構成し、さ
らに前記プロテクタと、対応する前記バルブスリ
ングの前記端部に連続しかつ該端部より軸方向に
離隔した位置の巻線部分との間には弾性ダンパを
介在させたことを特徴とする内燃機関の動弁機構
