Wheel (roll) method, nozzle method, stacker method, stamp method, etc. have been adopted as mechanisms for applying hot melt adhesive, and these methods can apply the entire surface, partial application, linear application, etc. to the adhesive surface. Various coating patterns such as dotted coating have been created. Among these application patterns, a hemispherical shape is applied to the surface to be adhered in order to prevent partial adhesion and the occurrence of non-adhesive areas on uneven surfaces, and to prolong the open time due to the physical properties of the adhesive. A dot-like pattern is known. In order to obtain the application pattern, a coating device using the wheel (roll) method described above with concave engravings on the wheel (roll) surface, a stamp method with similar engravings, and a nozzle-type device that intermittently discharges hot melt adhesive are used. However, with these devices, the coating amount was not constant, the coating pattern could not be fixed, and many of these devices were not economically viable.

The present invention solves these drawbacks and has various other features, and includes a pressurizing piece that is movable up and down in a tank that stores molten adhesive.
A container is fitted onto the pressure piece so as to be movable in the vertical direction,
As the pressure piece rises, the adhesive stored in the container is pressurized and applied to the surface to be adhered, and the excess adhesive flows out from the container, and a fixed amount of adhesive is applied to the object to be adhered at a constant pressure. By applying the coating, it is possible to reliably form a coating pattern of a predetermined shape.

In the figure, a container 1 for storing an adhesive such as a molten hot melt adhesive is formed into a cylindrical shape, and the shape of the opening edge 2 of the container determines the outer shape of the application pattern. A pin-shaped pressure piece 3 is slidably inserted into the container. The fit between the pressurizing piece and the container is preferably the minimum size that does not hinder the movement of the pressurizing piece. The pressure piece 3
The lower part thereof is a small diameter part 4, which projects downward from the hole 5 of the container 1 in the figure. The container 1 is urged upward in the axial direction with respect to the pressure piece, and the stepped portion 6 of the pressure piece 3 and the flange 7 at the lower end of the container
It will stop when it is in contact with the In the one shown in FIG. 1 and elsewhere, a spring 9 is interposed as a biasing means between the upper part of the pressure piece 3 and a stopper pin 8 provided above the container 1. A channel 10 is opened in the container 1 to allow excess adhesive to flow out when the adhesive is pressurized. Channel 1 shown in Figure 1 and elsewhere
0 is formed in the shape of a V-groove on the circumferential surface of the pressure piece 3, but it may also be a hole that vertically passes through the pressure piece (not shown). The lower end of the pressure piece is screwed to a mounting base 11 and fixed with a nut 12, and the mounting base 11 is configured to be movable up and down in the figure by an air cylinder or other driving means (not shown).

In use, the container, pressure piece, etc. are arranged and fixed in the required number on the mounting base 11 in accordance with the adhesive design of the adhesive to be adhered, and are installed in the hot melt adhesive melting tank. At this time, as shown in FIG. 2, the adhesive level D is located between the vertical stroke C between the ascending position A of the mounting base 11 and the descending position B, and the object to be adhered is Set within the range E where the adhesive is pressurized by the pressure piece. Then, when the hot melt adhesive in the melting tank is heated and melted to a suitable temperature for application, the mounting base 11 is raised. As a result, the opening edge 2 of the container comes into contact with the hot melt application position of the adherend 13, the pressure piece 3 rises within the container 1, and the adhesive that has entered the container when the mounting base rises. is applied to the adherend 13 under pressure. Further, excess adhesive flows out of the container through the flow path 10 and returns into the melting tank (FIG. 3). As described above, since the coating can be applied to objects within the installation range E of the object 13, as shown in FIG.
4, the adhesive can be applied without any problem. The adhesive 15 applied in this manner has a uniform hemispherical pattern as shown in FIG. 5, and even if the surface of the object to be adhered is uneven,
Since the adhesive is pushed in, no adhesive defects occur.

After applying the adhesive, the mount 11 is lowered, the container, etc. returns to the melting tank, and the pressure piece and the container return to their initial state by the action of the spring. Since the container is filled with adhesive again, the above-described action can be repeated to apply the adhesive to the object to be adhered. In the case shown in the figure, the object to be adhered is set within the installation range, and the pressure piece is moved upward with the container in contact with the object to apply the adhesive. When the opening edge of the container protrudes above the adhesive level D, it is also possible to stop the movement of the pressure piece, lower the object to be adhered, and move the container downward with the object to pressurize the adhesive.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, a spring 9 that biases the container against the pressure piece is interposed between the flange 7 of the container 1 and the seat plate 16 fitted to the small diameter portion 4 of the pressure piece. be. By changing the position of the seat plate 16 up and down using, for example, an annular spacer 17, the biasing action of the spring can be adjusted.
An adapter 18 of an appropriate size having a flow path 10 as shown in the figure is provided, and this is fitted above the pressure piece 3 and screwed onto the pressure piece to integrate it with the pressure piece. By moving it, the amount of adhesive applied can be adjusted.

The present invention is constructed as described above, and the application pressure and amount can be kept almost constant, the application pattern can be made into a fixed shape, and adhesives such as hot melt adhesives almost never flow out from the container after application. Since it is possible to prevent it from remaining inside the container, there is less thermal deterioration as with conventional methods, and in addition, the container, pressure piece, etc. can be mounted on the mounting base to match the curved shape of footwear such as slippers. If the adhesive is attached in an array, the adhesive can be applied in the above-mentioned application pattern in a single operation, making it possible to apply the adhesive easily and economically.
