り前記抵抗層を介してそれと対応する帰路電極へ
記録情報に応じた電流を流すことにより前記抵抗
層を発熱させ、その発熱によつて前記インクフイ
ルムのインクを溶融または昇華させ、用紙上にド
ツトを記録するようにした通電型のプリンタにお
いて、 各々の記録電極と帰路電極との間の電流経路の
特性を検査する手段を具備したことを特徴とする
通電型プリンタ。 (2) 前記検査手段の検査結果に基づいて前記ヘ
ツドの修理または交換等の時機を判定する手段を
具備したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の通電型
プリンタ。 (3) 前記検査手段の検査結果または前記判定手
段の判定結果を表示する手段を備えたことを特徴
