Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently collect additional printed products or advertisement papers to a base paper by providing a control device to operate a paper feed station and a paper collection device based on the information on the printed products read from a storage means and to control the generation of the collected printed products by the customer. CONSTITUTION: When a control device 120 is operated in a newspaper stand or a customer, different printed products are taken out of a plurality of paper feed stations 10 provided by the kind of the printed products based on the information on the prescribed printed products of the customer, and the collected printed products by the customer, i.e., those folded in a cover paper or those stored in a bag are generated in the order of delivery by a paper collection device 20 or a packaging device 50. The paper collection device 20 opens the papers with a firstly-arrived newspaper folded product as the cover paper, and folds sub printed products into the opened cover paper to generate the collected printed products. The packaging device 50 packs the printed products to be collected with a packaging film, and stores them in a bag to form the collected printed products.

At newsagents that handle this type of printed matter, before the delivery process, sub-printed materials are collected for the main paper to create a set of printed matter for each customer who is a subscriber. Furthermore, the printed matter that makes up these printed matter collections vary depending on the subscriber, with different daily newspapers being used as the main paper or multiple different daily newspapers being subscribed to at the same time.

Conventional collection work is done manually by workers at retail stores, or by delivery personnel who carry printed matter separately on different sheets of paper. We create a collective printed matter that includes daily newspapers and deliver them individually.

Conventional collection processing is manual and takes time and effort, which affects delivery times. Normally, delivery workers take approximately two hours to deliver. On the other hand, the delivery time for newspapers varies from district to district, but in most districts, the delivery time for morning editions is approximately 6 a.m. In this way, the time required for delivery and the time to complete the delivery are limited, so the assembly work must be carried out within a short time after the main paper arrives at the retailer, requiring a large number of workers and delivery personnel. do.

Furthermore, because this type of work is not performed in a favorable environment, it is currently difficult to increase the number of workers. Under such circumstances, newspaper companies are unable to set delivery times to retailers later, which limits their ability to include fresh news in their newspapers.

Furthermore, recently, active movements have been observed in various fields, and articles and advertisements related to them have become widely available. Therefore, as the number of pages of the main paper increases and the number of inserted printed matter increases, the number of copies that one delivery person can deliver within a predetermined time becomes limited. Therefore, even if the number of deliveries remains the same, if a portion of the volume increases, the labor burden on the delivery staff will increase using conventional collective work and delivery methods, which will lead to a corresponding deterioration of the working environment in the field. When the control device is operated at a newsagent or delivery destination, different types of printed matter are fed from multiple paper feeding stations provided for each type of printed matter based on the customer's subscribed printed matter information stored in advance in the storage means. The printed matter is taken out, and a collection device or a packaging device generates a set of printed matter for each customer, that is, one folded into a jacket paper or one housed in a bag, in the order of delivery. That is, in the paper collection device, after performing interleaving operations using the newspaper folded paper that is sent first as a cover paper, the theatrical company prints are folded into the opened cover paper to generate a set of printed matter. On the other hand, in a packaging device, printed matter to be assembled is wrapped in a packaging film or housed in a prefabricated bag to produce an assembled printed matter.

First, the control section 120 processes the customer's subscribed printed matter information read from the storage medium by the reading section, and outputs a control signal to the control element 180 for creating a set of printed matter for each customer. That is, first, the paper feeding sucker device 14 and the feed roll 16 of the outer paper feeding station 10, for example, the lowest paper feeding station of the first section 4, are driven in accordance with the control signal. Then, the paper feeding sucker device 14 uses its sucker to suck the outermost paper on the loading table into the paper delivery port 13 to form a gap between it and the following outer paper, and then the sucker moves down and removes the outer paper. feed roll 1
6 and stop the absorbing action of the sucker, the overcoat paper is fed by the feed roll 16, guided by the upper back guide 19 and the back guide 18, and falls through the drop passage 17 into the receiving part 22 of the paper collecting device 20. . Subsequently, a slip-sheet operation to be described later is performed, and the overcoat paper 8a is opened in a V-shape along the fixed plate 25 and movable plate 26 of the receiving portion, as shown in FIG. From this state, the sucker devices of other paper feeding stations operate sequentially or simultaneously to remove printed matter other than the main paper, such as reprinted printed matter, pre-collated advertising paper, single advertising paper, etc. Drop onto white paper. When the collection process is completed, the control unit 120 reads the next customer's printed matter information and starts the same process as above, and at the same time operates the drive unit 29 to rotate the movable plate 26 in the direction of the dotted line in FIG. 21b is opened, and the printed matter 8b is sent to the stacker table 30 and stacked thereon. When configured with the control device shown in Fig. 4 and performing collection processing (step processing mode selection) during delivery, the delivery destination of the processed printed matter is displayed on the display, so that even inexperienced delivery Even employees can check the delivery destination while delivering the item.

In addition, this device is capable of handling small-run printed matter (with a small number of subscribers).
In order for workers to fold the special printed matter into the assembled printed matter produced by the paper collection device during the customer's collective processing without setting the special printed matter (hereinafter referred to as special printed matter) in the paper feeding station, a storage shelf is provided to load the special printed matter. There is. When configuring a control device using a storage medium, what kind of special printed matter to put in this storage shelf, that is, the correspondence relationship between each storage shelf and the special printed matter to be put in the shelf, is stored in the storage medium, and the customer The card stores information on special printed matter. In addition, when configuring a control device using a CPU, special printed matter information is stored in the customer's subscribed printed matter information in the internal memory. With this configuration, during collection processing, the control device controls the operation of taking out special printed matter from the storage shelf based on the customer's subscribed printed matter information. For example, when special print information is read from a customer card, the display device 41 is operated to indicate the corresponding storage shelf,
The display lamps 41a, 41b, . . . are turned on, and at the same time, a buzzer (not shown) is used to notify the operator. After the operator collects and processes the special printed matter, the customer card is subsequently processed by manual operation.

be exposed. If such a configuration is adopted, the subsequent processing must be executed on the condition that the collection processing of the special printed matter is completed, so the operator must be able to start the subsequent processing once the above-mentioned work is completed. Operation is required. therefore,
The control device has an operation sequence in which it performs processing to notify the work based on the special print information, then temporarily suspends the processing, receives an operation signal from the operator to resume, and performs the subsequent processing. .

Figure 8 shows a printed matter delivery vehicle 2 equipped with a printed matter collection device.
00 is a side view, and FIG. 9 is a rear view of the same vehicle. The printed matter collecting device is installed in the automobile 210, and sequentially processes information input for each customer by a customer card according to the delivery route by the control device or by manual operation from the input unit,
A paper collecting device is used to create and deliver printed materials for each customer. The control device allows the delivery person to perform the operation of picking up the finished printed matter from this device or manually inputting it to the input section. Therefore, while moving to the next delivery destination, the delivery person can perform the operation of picking up the finished printed matter from the device, and then, while moving to the next delivery destination, collect the printed matter based on the subscribed printed matter information of the next customer. Since printed matter is generated, a newspaper store can leave for delivery by simply loading various printed matter into a printed matter gathering device, and can omit folding work before delivery.
