Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) A platen that conveys paper, a rigid bail shaft that is provided parallel to the platen and is biased toward the platen from substantially both ends, and that is inserted into the bail shaft. In a printer that includes a bail pipe that is rotatable about the axis of the bail shaft and brings the paper into contact with the platen, the bail pipe allows the paper and the bail pipe to contact each other regardless of the width of the paper being held down.
