Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the distortion at the time of production or cracks due to thermal stress and prevent a finger tip from being burnt by a hot glass when a burnt-out lamp is replaced by covering the upper edge section of a mirror with rubber or resin. CONSTITUTION:A mirror 2 is fixed by a cover 3 concurrently serving as a plastic lens and a rubber packing 4, the rubber packing 4 covers the vicinity of the end section of the mirror 2, and multiple vent ports are provided on its periphery. Various distortions are easily concentrated on a large sticking face between the mirror 2 and the cover 3, but distortions can completely be removed by elastic adhesion, not rigid adhesion, and the glass or metal with a large heat capacity and a large heat conductive coefficient is covered by a member with a small heat capacity and a small heat conductive coefficient. No severe burn is inflicted, and cracks due to thermal stress or the like can be prevented.

Known example (patent publication or document name) When attaching a cover such as a lens to a halogen light bulb with a mirror as described in JP-A-55-78459, JP-A-56-84869, and JP-U-55-15747. ,
A known method is to bond the lens and the cover using water glass, glass welding, epoxy resin, or the like. Among these bonding methods, methods using water glass or glass welding are prone to distortion, and methods using epoxy resin are not sufficient in terms of heat insulation. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Purpose of the Invention This makes the bond between the lens and mirror elastic, which prevents distortion during manufacturing or cracking due to thermal stress. The purpose is to prevent fingertips from getting burned.

In order to achieve the above object, the lamp according to the present invention includes:
The front cover of the lamp and the mirror are bonded with rubber or resin which is elastic and has a small thermal conductivity coefficient, and the outer periphery of the lamp, which is easy to touch, is covered with these adhesive members.

Various strains tend to concentrate on the large adhesive surface between the mirror and the cover, but by making this adhesive elastic rather than rigid, it is possible to completely eliminate the distortions. Alternatively, cracking of the cover can be prevented.

At the same time, by covering glass or metal, which has a large heat capacity and a large thermal conductivity coefficient, with a material that has a small heat capacity and a small thermal conductivity coefficient, it is possible to prevent lamp replacement at high temperatures, such as immediately after the lamp is turned off. It is possible to prevent burns to fingertips, etc. In this case, due to the unique shape of the lamp, the part of the lamp (3) that is easily touched when replacing the lamp is in most cases the adhesive area between the mirror and the cover. Therefore, by covering the vicinity of this adhesive area, This prevents excess heat from building up in the lamp, and does not interfere with the effective use of the light output.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained using figures. In Figure 1,
The halogen light bulb 1 has an inorganic multilayer film coated on the inner surface of cast glass or forged metal such as aluminum.
- It is fixed with an inorganic adhesive 5 to the dichroic reflecting mirror 2 and its bottom. The mirror 2 is fixed by a rubber backing 4 and a cover 3 made of cast glass or plastic that also serves as a lens.

The rubber backing 4 is shaped to cover the vicinity of the end of the mirror, and a plurality of vent holes are provided on the periphery of the rubber backing 4. When the maximum diameter of the mirror is 5an and the lamp rating is 50W, the rubber backing 4 has a temperature of approximately 150°C on its inner surface and 10°C on its outer surface.
The temperature reached 0℃. Furthermore, when the vent holes in the rubber backing 4 were closed, the temperature of the rubber packing (4) rose by about 20'C8 degrees. Although not shown, when a vent was provided at the bottom of the mirror, the temperature of the rubber backing 4 was reduced by about 30°C.

Furthermore, as shown in the cross section of FIG. 2, if the rubber backing 4 is provided with a hollow portion, the effect of lowering the temperature becomes even more remarkable, and the temperature is lowered by 40'CI degrees.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to lower the member temperature by approximately 50°C at the outer periphery of the lamp, which is easy to touch, and to reduce the heat conduction coefficient, so that the moment the lamp is touched, Although it is hot, the temperature cools down quickly and there is no chance of serious burns. Moreover, the mirror and the cover can be fixed elastically, and cracking due to thermal stress or the like can be prevented.
