Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 第１の面、該第１の面に相対する第２の面、該
    第１及び第２の面に連結され、入射光を受けるた
    めの入射面として役立つ第３面、該入射面に相対
    する出射面として役立つ第４面、及び前記第１面
    乃至第４面に連結され、且つ、互いに対向した第
    ５及び第６面とを備えた音響光学媒体と、前記第
    １の面に配設されたトランスデユーサとを有し、
    前記トランスデユーサは超音波を前記音響光学媒
    体中の第２の面方向へ伝搬させ、前記超音波によ
    つて前記音響光学媒体に前記入射面を通して入射
    される入射光を変調又は偏光させる音響光学素子
    において、前記音響光学媒体の６つの面の少なく
    とも一つの面には、前記音響光学媒体における前
    記超音波の進行方向に関する温度分布を等化する
    ための熱等化手段が設けられていることを特徴と
    する音響光学素子。
