Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a flame holding characteristic and promote a complete combustion by a method wherein projections of each of corrugated plates are formed at certain angles so as to cross slantly to each other with respect to a combustion surface and the adjoining projections of the corrugated plate members are crossed to each other. CONSTITUTION:Each of corrugated plate member 10 is constructed such that some projections 11 are inclined at a certain angle in respect to an axis of each of the corrugated members 10 and its angle is for example 45 deg.. In case that the corrugated members 10 are piled up to each other, the adjoining projections 11 of the corrugated plates are arranged to cross to each other. With such an arrangement, each of the corrugated plates 10 is point-contacted to each other with the adjoining corrugated plates 10 and the projections 11 being placed to contact to each other. Each of the corrugated plates 10 can be piled up without applying any spacers therein and under a condition in which their thicknesses are maintained. Under this condition, several slant clearances formed by the projections 11 of each of the corrugated plates 10 may act as injection holes 12 for pre-mixed gas.
