In dental treatment, the various types of handpieces mentioned above are frequently used, so it is extremely important for smooth treatment work that they be easily removable near the surgeon and that they are stably retained when not in use. be. For this purpose, a gutter-like holder is appropriately secured to a hanging bracket from the ceiling, allowing the surgeon to hold a pencil grip in a space where the surgeon can fix his armpits while sitting and swing his arms from below to above. The present applicant provided a holder capable of retaining a handpiece in the position shown in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 46877/1983. Although the holder in this prior art has no problems in ensuring easy removal of the handpiece and smooth movement of the operator's arm, the holder itself is simply a semicircular arc gutter-like structure, so the holder is difficult to hold. If the handpiece is subjected to vibration while the handpiece is in use, or if the operator's knee or other object touches the flexible hose connected to the rear end of the handpiece, the handpiece may slide inside the holder and easily fall off. However, it was undeniable that this caused undue mental annoyance to the practitioner, and that it still contained some insufficiency.

In order to improve this point, it has been proposed that a large number of pleats made of rubber or other elastic material are implanted in the axial direction on the inner surface of the holder to increase the contact area with the handpiece and increase the sliding resistance. However, it has been pointed out that this method is not practical due to the fact that dirt accumulates in the folds, which is not sanitary and is troublesome to clean.

The present invention has been developed in view of the above, and is a novel device that has a simple structure, makes it extremely easy to receive and take out the handpiece, further improves the function of preventing the handpiece from falling off while it is in place, and is more hygienic. It is an object of the present invention to provide a dental handpiece holder.

Embodiments of the present invention will be explained based on the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a typical holder of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view taken along the line - - of FIG. - line vertical cross-sectional view. That is, the present invention is a holder for fixing a body part a1 such as a grip part or a handle part of a dental handpiece a in a substantially horizontal state in the axial direction, and the holder has a front wall 11, a rear wall 12, and the bottom wall 13 that continues between these
a receiving part 1 having a generally arcuate cross section that can receive the body part a1 from below, a notch 123 formed from the back wall 12 to the bottom wall 13, and a receiving part 1 installed in the hole wall of the notch 123 The notch 1 is supported by a shaft 201 with its inner curved surface facing forward, and the notch 1 is rotated around the shaft 201.
23, the holding member 2 is rotatable back and forth and has a substantially crescent-shaped longitudinal section, and a spring 3 comes into elastic contact with the back surface of the holding member 2. When the body part a1 is received, the holding member 2 rotates against the elasticity of the spring 3, and the upper curved part 21 of the holding member 2 is attached diagonally upward to the circumferential body of the body part a1 . This dental handpiece holder is characterized in that the handpiece a is stably and elastically held between the receiving part 1 and the upper curved part 21 of the holding member 2. .

On the back surface of the holding member 2, two abutment surfaces 23 and 24 with different angles are formed in a vertically adjacent relationship, and when the handpiece a is not received, the upper abutment surface 2
3 is in pressure contact with the leaf spring 5, and in this state, the upper curved portion 21 of the holding member 2 is retracted as shown by the solid line in FIG. 2, while the lower curved portion 22 projects upward from the notch 123. In addition, a locking part 122 for clamping to the edge of a dental treatment table or a tray (both not shown) is connected to the upper end of the back wall 12, while a hand piece a is connected to the upper end of the front wall 11. A guiding tongue piece 111 for sliding in is diagonally connected. This front wall 11, back wall 1
2 and the bottom wall 13 has a semi-circular cross section that can receive the handpiece a from below, and one end of the receiving part 1 in the axial direction (see FIG. A low locking wall 14 is protruded from the right end), and when the handpiece a is received as described later, the locking wall 14 forms a joint step between the body portion a1 and the flexible hose h. It is formed to lock the handpiece a2 and prevent the handpiece a from slipping out backwards. Except for the spring 3 and the leaf spring 5, it is most desirable for the above-mentioned components to be made of synthetic resin (including foam) or resin cement because they are lightweight, inexpensive, and have inherent elasticity. Therefore, manufacturing this product is not excluded.

To briefly describe an example of the use of the holder configured as described above, the holder is placed at the edge of a dental treatment table or tray,
The axis of the receiving part 1 is installed in a substantially horizontal state in a space where the operator can swing his arm from below to above while fixing his armpit while sitting. Various dental handpieces are normally stored in the backboard of the treatment table, but once treatment begins, it is cumbersome to store handpieces that are frequently used in the backboard each time, so The handpiece is often temporarily placed on a tray or side table, so if the surgeon's knee or other area touches the flexible hose connected to the handpiece during treatment, the handpiece may fall to the floor and damage the equipment. Not only was it bad, but it was also unsanitary. This holder eliminates such concerns, and in order to temporarily fix the handpiece a used in the holder installed as described above, the body part a of the handpiece a should be moved as shown by the arrow x in Fig. 2. 1 is slid on the tongue piece 111 and the lower curved portion 22 of the holding member 2 is pressed down against the elasticity of the spring 3, so that the holding member 2 rotates around the shaft 201. With this rotation, the upper curved part 21 protrudes forward and the body part a 1 of the handpiece a
from above and the lower contact surface 24
moves to interview leaf spring 5. When the lower contact surface 24 comes into pressure contact with the leaf spring 5, the restoring elasticity of the spring 3 stabilizes the holding member 2 at the position shown by the chain line in FIG. In this state, the upper curved part 21 presses down the body part a 1 from diagonally above in a resiliently biased state, so that the handpiece a is stably and elastically held between the receiving part 1 and the holding member 2. Ru. This holding force effectively prevents the hand piece a from coming off upward and in the axial direction, but as shown in FIG. If part a 2 is locked, hand piece a
Even if an external force is applied to the flexible hose h, there is no fear that it will fall off backwards. When the handpiece a is used again, the operator pulls up the handpiece a from below using the pencil grip, and the upper curved part 21 of the holding member 2 is flipped up, and the holding member 2 is rotates in the opposite direction and returns to the position shown by the solid line in FIG. Therefore, the hand piece a is easily removed from the holder and ready for immediate use. In this way, the handpiece a is held extremely stably and there is no fear of it falling off, and it is extremely easy to receive and remove it, so it does not cause any mental trouble to the operator during treatment work. It is also noteworthy that it is hygienic and easy to clean because it does not give any moisture and has a simple structure.

It goes without saying that the overall shape of the holder is not limited to that shown in the illustration, and other shapes can be adopted. For example, the inner surface of the receiving part 1, which is directly involved in securing the handpiece, should be semicircular. Of course, the outer surface may be polygonal. Further, although the illustrated example shows an example in which the notch 123 is formed as a hole approximately in the center of the receiving part 1, both sides of the receiving part 1 are cut out and two pressing members 2 are provided in parallel in each notched part. This is not excluded either. Furthermore, instead of the leaf spring 5, a push plate elastically biased by the spring 3 may be used. In addition, the shape of the locking portion 122 is merely an example, and it is of course possible to add means for stably attaching the locking portion 122 through other fasteners or the like.
