Conventionally, when interior components such as a safety device are placed inside a metal container that houses a capacitor element, it is difficult to avoid stray capacitance that occurs between some or all of the metal parts and the metal container, or between the metal part and the capacitor element. Partial discharge may occur from the metal part due to potential sharing. Therefore, it is necessary to sufficiently insulate the metal part or to make a reliable electrical connection so that the potential is the same as that of the high voltage part or the metal container part.

Due to the above-mentioned background, metal parts disposed in a metal container together with a capacitor element are often attached to the inner wall of the container by a method such as welding, resulting in poor workability and high cost.

The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks and provides a capacitor that can be electrically connected reliably and efficiently and inexpensively.

Fig. 1 is a cutaway front view of the main parts of the capacitor, Fig. 2 is an electric circuit diagram of the capacitor, and Fig. 3 is an explanatory diagram of the assembly of the main parts of the internal parts, where 1 is the metal container of the capacitor, and 2 is the metal container. A capacitor element is housed in 1, 3 is an interior component, 4 is a bracket fixed to the inner wall of the metal container 1, and 5 is fixed to an insulating support plate 7 that fits into the bracket 4 and holds the interior component 3. The L-shaped locking metal fitting 6 has one end electrically connected to the locking metal fitting 5 by welding, crimping, etc., and the other end is interposed between the opening of the metal container 1 and the seaming part 10 of the upper lid 8. The flat conductive lead 9 is a metal rivet. The above-mentioned interior component 3 usually has a conductor provided with a weak point of the safety device, and the insulating support plate 7 is provided with a notch,
The conductor is configured to be cut when the internal pressure increases and reaches a predetermined pressure, and the conductor is cut from the weak point.

Therefore, when manufacturing a capacitor, it is extremely easy to fix the insulating support plate 7, and the metal of the fitting portion of the receiving fitting 4 and the locking fitting 5 is connected to the tightening portion of the metal container 1 via the conductive lead 6. Since the electrical connection is made at 10, the occurrence of partial discharge from the metal part due to stray capacitance etc. is reliably suppressed, and there is no insulation deterioration caused by this, resulting in an extremely reliable capacitor.

Although the above-mentioned embodiment describes an example in which the insulating support plate 7 is used as a part of a component of a safety device, it is also possible to use the insulating support plate 7 for insulation between an upper capacitor element and a lower capacitor element without having a safety device. It has similar effects and can be applied as appropriate depending on the purpose.

As mentioned above, the capacitor of the present invention is extremely advantageous in terms of prevention of partial discharge and productivity, and has great practical value.
