密的に結合されたバルブと、各発光室内にそれぞ
れ排設された複数の陽極と、バルブ内に配設され
た1つの共通陰極とを具備し、上記放電空間内に
は放電ガスが封入され、所望の陽極と共通陰極と
の間に放電を生じる電圧が印加されると放電を生
じている陽極の配設されている発光室の蛍光体が
発光する蛍光表示素子において、光源管体の発光
面はそれぞれ発光室を同数個ずつ含む複数の区画
に分割され、各区画は各区画の発光色の構成が同
じになるようにしてそれぞれ複数色の発光室で構
成され、光源管体内にはバルブから各発光室に至
る放電経路を形成する連絡路が形成され、バルブ
から各発光室までの放電経路が同じ長さに設定さ
れて成る蛍光表示素子。
