Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate use of expensive heat resistant glass by putting a heat shutting plate having approx. the same width as a rod-shaped lamp in a line tying the shortest route between the lamp and a transparent cover. CONSTITUTION:When a rod-shaped lamp 3 is lighted up, the direct beam from this lamp 3 and the reflected beam by a reflex plate 4 are radiated from a light projecting aperture 5. Chief reflected beam from the reflex plate 4 proceeds aslant with respect to the light projecting aperture face. As a heat shutting plate 7 is in approx. the same direction as the chief reflected beam proceeding along the main optical axis of the reflex plate 4, most of the reflected beam by the reflex plate 4 is irradiated aslant forward through the light projecting aperture 5 without being shut by the heat shutting plate 7. This plate 7 is located in a line tying the rod-shaped lamp 3 and a transparent cover 6 via the shortest route, and on this line, the heat from the rod-shaped lamp 3 gives the strongest influence. Accordingly heat shutoff from this part enhances the heat resistance of this transparent cover 6 to a great extent to eliminate necessity for use of expensive heat resistant glass.

(Prior art) In wall washer equipment and the like that emit light obliquely to the light emitting aperture, with the increase in the output of rod-shaped lamps, the transparent light provided in the light emitting aperture due to the heat generated by the lamp has increased. Measures to prevent the optical cover from overheating are required. As a countermeasure against this overheating, a highly heat-resistant transparent cover is used. Furthermore, as a second measure, the distance between the lamp and the light-transmitting cover may be increased. As a third measure, it is easy to consider providing a heating plate partially on the line of the shortest distance connecting the translucent cover and the lamp.

(The pinnacle of what the invention is trying to solve) Regarding the first measure, there is the problem of having to use expensive heat-resistant glass, and regarding the second measure, there is a problem that the interstitial glass must be used, which increases the size of the instrument. Furthermore, regarding the third countermeasure, there is a problem in that the desired light distribution cannot be obtained because the light is shrunk by the heat plate.

[Structure of the Invention] (Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention provides a device in which the main reflected light of the reflector is directed obliquely.
Between the rod-shaped lamp and the translucent cover, on the line connecting the shortest distance between these lamps and the cover, a heating plate having approximately the same inclination as the main reflected light direction and approximately the same width as the width of the lamp is installed. It is characterized by having been provided.

(Function) Since the heating plate has the same inclination as the main reflected light direction of the diagonal reflecting plate, the reflected light from the reflecting plate is not reflected by the beam or the heating plate, and almost no light is reflected from the reflecting plate. All of the lights are directed diagonally forward, and only direct light is blocked by a heating plate. In wall washer appliances, etc., only light directed in an oblique direction is required, and light directed toward the bottom surface is not required, so that the desired light distribution can be obtained without the influence of the tip of the heat shield plate.

4 is covered with a reflective plate. This reflector plate 4 is disposed opposite to the rod-shaped lamp 3 in the main body 1, has a light projection opening 5 facing the opening 2, and directs the main reflected light obliquely to the surface of the light projection opening 5. . 6 is a translucent cover that covers the light projection opening 5, and 7 is a heat plate. This heat plate 7 is interposed between the light-transmitting cover 6 and the lamp 3 on the line connecting the shortest distance between the rod-shaped lamp 3 and the light-transmitting cover 6, and is aligned with the main reflected light direction of the reflecting plate 4. It has substantially the same slope and has substantially the same width as the width of the lamp 3.

To roughly explain the above embodiment in detail, the reflecting plate 4 is as follows:
The main optical axis is oriented diagonally, and the rod-shaped lamp 3 is arranged offset to one side. The reflector 4 includes a first reflector section 10 at the top and a second reflector section 11 having a quadratic curved surface except for the first reflector section 10 at the top. The first reflector section 10 has a flat surface and is fixed to the top plate of the main body 1 with screws. The second reflector section 11 is supported by a frame 14 provided in the opening 2. That is, the frame 14 is attached to the main body 11 by a well-known means using a figure 7 spring. And upper and lower brim edges 16,
17, and a backing 18. The peripheral edge of the translucent cover 6 and the peripheral edge of the second reflection plate part 11 are held in an overlapping manner in this order. 19 is the first socket
It is attached to the outside of both ends of the reflector section 10 in the direction along the rod-shaped lamp 3 via U-shaped supports. The rod-shaped lamp 3 may be a double-cap type metal halide lamp (Osram's product name HQI lamp), a high-output fluorescent lamp, a single-cap type HID lamp, or the like.

Further, the heat plate 7 is attached through slits 20 provided in both side plate portions of the second reflection plate portion 11. That is, by providing slits 21 at both ends of the heat plate 7, bent pieces 22 are provided, and each bent piece 22 is inserted into the slits 20 on both sides of the second reflecting plate section 11 from the slits 20 to the outside. Insert it with the hole exposed. Next, by bending each bent piece 22 as shown by the chain line, the second reflecting plate portion 11 is engaged with the heat sink plate 7 . In addition, 2
3 is a terminal block, 24 is a ballast, and 25 is a heating plate provided at a distance on the top plate 13.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained. When the bar-shaped lamp 3 is turned on, direct light from this lamp 3 and the reflection plate 4
The reflected light is emitted from the light projection aperture 5. The main reflected light by the reflection plate 4 is directed obliquely to the light projection aperture surface, as indicated by arrow A. Since the heating plate is oriented in approximately the same direction as the main reflected light (arrow) along the main optical axis of the reflecting plate 4, most of the light reflected by the reflecting plate 4 is reflected by the heating plate 7. The light is irradiated diagonally forward through the light projection aperture 5 without being exposed.

A part of the direct light from the rod-shaped lamp is shunted by the heat shield plate 7, but this light is directed toward the bottom surface and is unnecessary for a device that illuminates an oblique direction, so the required light distribution cannot be achieved. There is no impact on the early part of the year. The heat sink plate 7 is placed on a line connecting the rod-shaped lamp 3 and the translucent cover 6 at the shortest distance, and the heat from the rod-shaped lamp 3 is most strongly affected on this line.

Therefore, by heating this portion, the heat resistance of the light-transmitting cover 6 is greatly improved, and there is no need to use expensive heat-resistant glass.

In the above embodiment, the case where the heat sink plate 7 is one is explained, but as shown in FIG. 3, it may be divided into two and provided at different levels.

[Effects of the Invention] As described in detail above, the present invention provides a device in which the main reflected light of the reflector is directed obliquely and a light transmitting cover is provided in the light emitting opening. In between, on a line connecting the shortest distance between these lamps and the cover, a heating plate is provided which has approximately the same inclination as the direction of the main reflected light and has approximately the same width as the width of the lamp. , suppresses overheating of the translucent cover caused by the lamp, thus eliminating the need for expensive heat-resistant glass and not increasing the size of the appliance.
The required light distribution can be obtained.
