Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a light scattering member and facilitate the cost savings of a device by a method wherein the light receiving part of a lens is formed into a pyramid and a slit is formed by etching its display plane side and light emitting devices are provided so as to face the respective planes of the light receiving part. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving part of a lens 4 fitted to the window 6 of a cabinet 5 and having a slit 8 is composed of a slanted protrusion and LED's 2 and 3 are attached to a printed board 1 so as to face the respective slant planes of the light receiving part. As lights from the LED's 2 and 3 are refracted by the light receiving part and guided toward the center and scattered by the etched surface of the slit 8, the lighting unevenness of the window 6 can be avoided without using a light scattering member. Therefore, the light scattering member can be eliminated and the cost of a device can be saved.

The above purpose is to form the light entrance part of the display lens into a pyramid shape,
This is achieved by providing etched slits in the pyramid section on the display surface side and arranging the light emitting elements to face each surface of the light entrance section.

The light from the light-emitting element is refracted at the incident part of the lens and guided toward the display window, and is further scattered by the etched surface of the slit, so that no unevenness occurs on the display surface.

FIG. 2 shows a conventional example. The LED 2.3 attached to the printed circuit board 1 and the light entrance part of the lens 4 attached to the window 6 of the cabinet 5 are fixed at opposing positions via a light scattering member 7, and the light from the LED 2 or 3 is diffused. Since the lens 4 is illuminated evenly by being scattered by the member 7, there is a problem in that the number of parts increases.

1. A light emitting element mounting device for displaying the operating status of electronic equipment by irradiating light from the light emitting element onto a transparent lens attached to a window provided in a cabinet, the device comprising: In a light emitting element mounting device that uses two LEDs of different colors and displays the status of the device in three ways by turning off at least one of the LEDs,
A light entrance part is formed on the back side of the display surface of the lens, and has a convex shape having two inclined surfaces so that light entering perpendicularly to the display surface from the back side of the display surface is guided toward the center of the display surface by refraction. An etched slit is made on the display surface side in the convex shape of the light input section, and two LEDs of different colors are placed facing each other on the inclined surface of the light input section so that the axial direction of the display surface and the LEDs are perpendicular. The light from the LED is refracted by the inclined surface of the light incident part, guided toward the center of the display surface, and scattered by the etched surface of the slit, so that the display surface is uniformly irradiated.
