For this reason, people with presbyopia generally have glasses for seeing things in the distance, and glasses for reading and other things that are close at hand, and they change their glasses depending on the situation. In this way, it can be troublesome to change glasses depending on the situation, and to avoid this trouble, there are lenses that have bifocal functions in the same lens, but they are expensive. There's a problem.

を目的としている。(Purpose) This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and it takes advantage of the fact that people who wear glasses have only one eye, and it can be realized at low cost, and can be used both when viewing distant objects and at hand. The purpose is to provide new reading glasses for one-eyed people who do not need to change glasses when looking at things.

That is, firstly, the shape of the glasses is substantially symmetrical in the upper and lower directions. Second, of the two lenses of the glasses, one is for long distances, that is, for seeing far away, and the other is for short distances, that is, for seeing things close to hand. Thirdly, the vertical directions of these two lenses are opposite to each other.

Therefore, when glasses are said to be approximately vertically symmetrical, this symmetry is such that it does not feel strange when worn upside down.

Then, in this state, long-distance lenses will be used, so in this case, the vertical direction of the long-distance lenses should match the vertical direction of the glasses. In this way, when using a long-distance lens, the hand lens, that is, the close-distance lens, is located at the left eye position, but the vertical direction of this close-distance lens is The vertical direction and vertical relationship of the lens for use are reversed. That is, the vertical direction of the close-range lenses is opposite to the vertical direction of the glasses themselves.

つている。 In FIG. 1, reference numeral 10 indicates a frame.
A long-distance lens 14 and a short-distance lens 16 are fixedly held on this frame 10. The arrow written on the lens indicates the upward direction in the vertical direction of the lens. The vertical direction of the long-distance lens 14 coincides with the vertical direction of the frame 10 and, therefore, the glasses themselves. The temples 12A and 12B are foldably connected to the frame 10. The glasses of this embodiment are for right-eyed monocular people, and if the glasses are worn correctly in the vertical direction, the long-distance lens 14 can be used, and if the glasses are worn in the upside-down direction, the short-distance lens 16 can be used. Can be done. To obtain glasses for left-eye monocular use, the vertical directions of the long-distance lens 14 and the near-distance lens 16 may be reversed.
As shown in the figure, the glasses have a substantially symmetrical shape from top to bottom.

Since these reading glasses are constructed as described above, there is no need to change glasses when looking at distant objects and when looking at objects at hand; in such cases, simply turn the glasses upside down and put them on again. It is extremely convenient as it is sufficient. Moreover, since expensive bifocal lenses are not used, it can be realized at low cost.
