Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency in terms of time by using the pointing means to the ends of paragraphs, the lines, the sentences, and the words respectively. For instance, the punctuation is recognized for the words based on the connection of character codes of the same type, for the sentences based on the punctuation marks, for the lines based on the arrangement of character strings, and for the ends of paragraphs based on the line feed codes respectively. For the range pointing means, a pointing button 1 for the unit of the end of paragraph, a pointing button 2 for the line unit, a pointing button 3 for the sentence unit, and a pointing button 4 for the word unit are used in response to the ends of paragraphs, the lines, the sentences and the words respectively. Thus the punctuation positions are searched in both front and back directions with push of those pointing buttons. Then the prescribed range information is obtained.

悪い操作で行っていた。
